I will not be able to sample more on of what this charming taqueria has to offer. We are here on travel and I had a craving for menudo. Wifey and I found La Esquina via Yelp and they serve menudo everyday. Target acquired ! Service was quick and the menudo was hot full of maiz and tripe. It was a bit more picoso (spicy) than we are used to but definitely enjoyable. Based on the many workers coming in for breakfast I can tell this food has some comfort appeal.
The place is very small, you bump into other people, the barbecue and Menudo food are good and the service is a little rude, the people you serve always have an angry face and don't even greet you 💁♀️
This place had a variety of my favorite snacks! I’ve been searching for the chiccaron and home made tamales for a while. It’s 10am and I’m in heaven! Off to start the day with my 1/2 dozen pork tamales. Service was great my only gripe would be is it was super hot inside from all the food cooking.
