This is a working man's restaurant. If you're expecting a franchise store atmosphere and modernity, this is not it. Don't get me wrong, everything works, but understand that the location is in a heavily Industrial zone and most of the clientele was either a local worker or a truck driver.The food is excellent, appropriately sized and priced right. They have daily specials, if you eat here regularly. The service staff is friendly and accommodating. The restrooms are very clean.The major concern that you may have is that the restaurant needs an update to improve the atmosphere.

If I could give a 0 star I definitely would. The chili had a wang taste to it. The wait staff was freaking horrible. Only came to take our order then another lady brought out or food no one bothered to come check on us.finally after sitting here for 45 minutes and the original waitress being told for the 3rd time table 13 she finally came over but acted like she didn't want to wait on us at all. What was so funny is there was another lady who brought out food out also seen us needing more drinks and not one time bothered to come over to us. Needless to say I have never been charged a service fee for using my credit card before and was charged almost 4%. There was no sign stating there would be a charge. So a $42.97 meal for 2 was almost 45$ with their upcharge for the card and when I questioned it the girl was like ummm that is what we were told to do. I told her we have never been charged before.

We waited 15 minuets and never got waited on so we left. All the tables were dirty.One table had left a 3 cent tip, l guess that should have been a clue that the service would be non-existant!Mary (the good waitress) must have been off tonight.9/24 @ 8:30 pm

I've been eating at Mama Lou's for years. The food is not incredible but consistently decent and the staff is friendly enough. Tonight was the exception. I ordered lasagna. The noodles were crunchy and hard the sauce was over seasoned and tasted old, greasy and not fit to be served. Complained about it and the manager named Clara. First refused to discount anything but then took five dollars off. I left a $10 tip for the nice waiter and told her I'd be spending my $300 TO $400 a month elsewhere. One incompetent employee Can cost a business a long time customer and that's exactly what happened.
