I remember back in the late 1970s or early 1980s when Neptune’s had a location in Edmond. I was an occasional customer. This was before Subway and the other big chains came along. I always thought their subs were just okay—not bad, but nothing special.

Having moved here from New England, I was used to really good subs, so Neptune’s never quite measured up.

I stopped by the Classen location yesterday—I believe it’s the original spot. I liked the vibe, and the price was reasonable at $4.99 for what I think was a six-inch sub. And the taste? Exactly the same as it was 40 years ago. Just okay.

IYKYK. You can never go wrong with Neptunes. I've eaten at Neptunes since I was a little kid. I'm 52yo. I've never had anything here that I haven't liked.
My only complaint,... I wish they would go back to white onions. Im not really big on the red onions. The white ones they used to have almost had a hint of sweetness to them.

Came in today at lunch for the Egg salad sandwich and was greatly disappointed! Hardly any egg salad on it, mostly lettuce for $4.99! Not the same since Neptunes changed ownership!

The world will become a little less, if this establishment ever goes away. Never tasted better! The bread is dope.

Shop was clean and inviting, and customer service was wonderful, but the sub itself was meh.
Bread was fresh and delicious, but the meat was VERY low quality, and very little of it.
Got the Italian sub, and for 10 bucks, i didn't expect it to be 90% bread.

I work near this location and having been coming here for years for lunch. I love their sandwiches, especially the bread. The banana pudding is sooo good! I will say the service can be slow and inconsistent with the drive-thru window, sometimes I'm in and out sometimes, like today, it takes close to 30 minutes to get through. Doesn't keep me from going back, but just be prepared if you plan on going during lunch

Was a pretty good sandwich for a decent price. My fiancee and I are for under $20. Would come back again!

This is a place that does simple things properly. The food is consistently good and prepared with care. The bread is amazingly fresh. I highly recommend for lunch.

Asked for a regular drink no ice for my wife. Flatly refused. Ordered a large drink for myself (with ice), didn’t get that either.
