This was my first time ever experiencing Ethiopian cuisine. It was a little bit awkward at first due there was no hostess at the front entrance for guidance. I didn't know if you would sit yourself or wait to be seated. Other than that, it was okay. The decorations were very nice. The smell of the food radiated throughout the restaurant. If you weren't hungry before you entered, you would be after taking in the smell of all the different spices. As I said before, this was my first time eating African cuisine, I decided to order the sample platter, per the recommendation of the waitress. In all honesty I can't remember the names of the food. However, surprisingly, the food that did stand out to me was actually one of the appetizers, the Vegetarian Sambusa. It has a spicy "kick" to it, but mild. I could eat that morning, noon and night. And I'm not even a vegetarian! And the cheese cake. That was the best cheese cake I've eaten in decades! I plan to return just for the above mentioned food selections alone, but to also try other selections on the menu as well.

The food is phenomenal, but the service is very slow. To be fair they had a decent crowd, but we waited for 30 minutes for drinks.

The people who run this place are super friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. If you haven't had Ethiopian food before you are missing out. Especially if you like sourdough bread because the injera is incredible. It's also one of the only places with actually good vegetarian food if you don't eat meat. Also it's fun to eat with your hands ? this is the only place to get Ethiopian food that I'm aware of in the area. Get the queen of Sheeba mesob so you can try a bunch of the different dishes! I can't wait to go back again!

Highly recommend one of their lamb dishes with the injera. They are only open the latter half of the week for dinner and they don't have much staff so your order may take longer if you go in a group, but they cook to order and waiters are very friendly/attentive. Also, really glad OKC has a spot for when you are craving Ethiopian food.

The wait time between placing your order and actually getting food can be a bit but I think it's due to them being smaller-staffed and making everything to order. The wait staff is great though! In addition, their window of being open is pretty limited. However, if you are in Oklahoma and craving Ethiopian food, this is the place for you. Their lamb dishes eaten with the injera are SO GOOD. Definitely the type of dish that will have you thinking of going back the next day...

Always delicious. I love to take people here for their first time because they're always amazed. The shareable platters, sambusas, spiced tea, and strong coffee are my usual.Vegetarian options: There are clearly marked vegetarian options, probably half of the menu.Kid-friendliness: They are ready with lid friendly dishes in case you aren't sure what your kids may like

Lovely restaurant; tasty food; very good service. However, the vegetarian combination for 2 had the same amount of food as the combination for 1 for twice as much money.
