We are not from Oklahoma City and this is the first time we've ever went to Sam's Southern Eatery. We were pleasantly pleased with the size of the catfish pieces and the kindness of the young lady at the register. I had the four piece fish with two sides meal and the four pieces filled me up and then some. The catfish was delicious. My wife enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. The fried okra was fresh and crunchy on the outside, as it should be. The creamy coleslaw was delicious and had the right texture without being too wet.Sadly this location looks like a struggling establishment and there is external deterioration on the walk and steps around the restaurant. Also the baseboard all around interior walls is missing. We were there between 5:00 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. in a Monday and there were only four customers that whole time. I think they are struggling with the location they are in as well.I wish them luck because they really do have a good product with a very flexible menu.
