This place is literally disgusting. I found a chewed up piece of gum in my hibachi salad. I would stay clear of this place. To make it clear, I stayed because the rest of my food was prepared in front of me. Please, review the footage and in fact let’s do it together ?. Why would any of your employees own up to chewing gum? So they can get fired on the spot? No, thank you.
I know everyone on here is saying this place is better than Shoguns... They're nuts. Service was fine, no complaints. The atmosphere was okay, but not better than Shoguns. The food was not even comparable. The salad had maybe 5 pieces of lettuce in it. The calamari had maybe three slivers of calamari. The rest was veggies. The fried rice was pretty bland. Actually, it was all bland. I had to add soy sauce to give any kind of flavor. Didn't know you could get sauce until someone else asked for some. You get two kinds of sauces at Shoguns. Then the chef asked how we wanted our steak cooked, which was all different at the table, but he cooked everything the same. The veggies were not separated, so my family got mushrooms, but I didn't get any. Overall it was a big letdown. We will not eat there again.
This place is nothing short of amazing! I never leave google reviews, but I’m thinking about the negi maki appetizer & the seafood hibachi special DAYS LATER! I had to come back to leave a review… also, the bartender, Han makes the best lemon drop in town. I will be back.
This is my first negative review ever, but the service was simply that bad I feel obligated to warn others. My family arrived at 5:15pm. The host states it’s going to be a 50 min wait. The wait is not because they didn’t have tables, because they did not have enough staff. Over 50% of the restaurant was empty. We patiently wait never once complaining until we are seated. It took 1 hour to be seated. After being seated we sat another 25 minutes with no service. During that time not one server came to our table to get our drinks or take our order. My husband finally asked the host (not a server) if he could get a drink menu to order a cocktail. Still no server came after another 15 minutes. We observed the servers continue to fill drinks and wait on tables that had already completed their meals and were just chit chatting amongst themselves. I am sure they were trying to get these parties to leave, however it would make more sense to start serving the tables you have already seated. After waiting this long my kids were BEGGING to go get their water bottles from the car because they were so thirsty. After waiting an hour and forty minutes and still didn’t even have a drink, much less our order taken we had to get up and walk out so we did not miss our event we had to be at later that evening. Trust me the last thing we wanted to do after all of us waiting that long already and being hungry was to walk out. We wasted so much of our evening for absolutely nothing. So we have covered service. Let’s now discuss the cleanliness of this place. It was absolutely disgusting. The fish tank behind the host table appears to have never been cleaned since the day it was put in. The water is nasty with floating particles and a color of which I cannot describe. The sushi bar where the RAW fish is kept was also unclean. The glass literally had smear marks from a dirty rag used. Once we were sat at a table (with no service) they had boxes and glass against the wall directly beside our table. Hopefully for renovations because the place sure could use them. Our table was tacky and sticky and the laminate was peeling off the table. We had to wipe black particles off our plate. It simply was not sanitary. Their menu prices reflect a nice eating establishment and this is far from it. We have learned our lesson to never forget to make reservations to Shogun or literally anywhere else. Save your time, money and most importantly health and stay far away. What’s sad is 7-10 years ago this used to be one of my favorite places to eat. I’m not sure what happened with management during that time, but it unfortunately has gone so far downhill my family will never return.
Went and tried for the first time today. My friend and I were the only ones there. Food was good, not a lot for the very expensive lunch price. We asked if we could have fried rice instead of steamed and she said sure. It was an up charge. Didn’t say anything. Bathroom was dirty and us being the only ones there should have been spotless. Very sad. Won’t be going back. Waitress/ hostess/ owner(?) was very nice though! Need to rethink price’s because it was dead!
Been a while since I have been here. I remember why now. I ordered some sushi and hibachi. Both were fine. Nothing fantastic. I had to keep asking for things. Let's see... chopsticks, soy sauce, extra wasabi, a water. I had a choice of soup or salad. I ordered soup. Why the 30 cent salad can not be included screams "cheap". Best of all was the grease dripping off of the fire suppression system in the vent hood onto the flat top. I would have taken pictures, but I try and set an example with my kids about no being on their phone while having dinner. Their are better options for a three figure dinner or hibachi.
Went on a Friday night and only two hibachi tables going, extremely short staffed and got a VERY strong whiff of bleach as we opened the door but the restaurant still looked dirty. Was quoted a 30 min wait on the phone for hibachi then told 1 hour wait for hibachi when we got to the restaurant. Then we asked to dine in instead and told we would be seated right away but gave it 10 mins and still were not seated. I am sorry to say but it’s gone downhill, came here in 2019 and was amazing!
Soooo disappointed this place raised their prices and the portions are so small. I usually leave with a Togo box full of food cuz hibachi is always a ton of food but this time we all cleaned our plates and left hungry still. They don't do any of the hibachi tricks anymore, didn't give beansprouts and didn't give any of the sauces for the seafood and steak. Our cook was so high he didn't even speak to us or engage. I do not recommend this place , this will be our last time.
This place has gone down hill. Arrived at 5:30 and they finally sat us at 6:20. It was not busy at all. There was one hibachi cook. Servings were considerably smaller. The chef tried but he had little experience. They would not accept reservations for hibachi. I feel like I watched Shiki’s take its last dying breath. RIP
Over priced with no show would be different if the cook knew how to put on a show. Came from Colorado and was told about this place and man 60$ just to have him cook on a grill idk I could have did the same at home

Terrible service. Reserved a room and they wouldn’t let us in until their birthday person who we were surprising arrived. No one in entire place. Yum yum is terrible and the included picture is 1 foot from my chair. Yes those are bugs sticking out of the air conditioner and covered in dirt. Manager is terrible and only answers is “it’s policy” plenty of great hibachis out there. Avoid this one. Ps smallest portions I’ve seen by far.
My wife and I were passing through town and we have frequent the area once to twice a year when our kids played youth sports. The service was slow and very bland. The food was just as bad from cold rice to burnt shrimp tempura, portions were considerably smaller than most Japanese places that we’ve been. I don’t recommend this place. However the price wasn’t bad but regardless it’s not a good establishment. Not to mention it was complaint after complaint from other quest as we were sitting there.
The slow service; no problem I’m not in a hurry, but burnt shrimp tempura and all the veggies on my hibachi were burned! Like blackened and not edible! The portion size is half of what it should be.0/10 DONT RECOMMEND!!!
Will never eat here again. Customer service awful. I have been eating here for many years. Usually at the grill with friends and family. Started to go in for wine and some appetizers for time to self. The young bartender that has been there for years always argue with you if she makes a mistake. Comments on how much I would tip. This is not how you should treat people. Will never be back.
We stopped here after shopping at Quail Springs. Really good food but it was the friendly service that was the best part. The chef even came and checked on the food. We will come back the next time we are in Edmond. Recommended highly! It wasn’t busy which can turn people away at times. Don’t let that stop you from enjoying this great place! If you aren’t arrogant, uptight and entitled you will enjoy this place!
