Really good sushi rolls...always fresh and the fried rice....yummy!!!

I have visited this restaurant for over 7 years. Hands down the BEST and FRESHEST Sushi I have had anywhere. Their sushi is ART! The Hibachi chefs are entertaining and again, FANTASTIC food. I have come to know the wait staff and management and it is a place of peace and comfort for me. A go to for a relaxing time and a place to enjoy a great meal. They can accommodate large groups. They now offer TEAS now too!

Server was nice. Chef was rude. Would not respond to request. He was either pissed because we were seated ar 1:30 when the close at 2:00 or he was just rude. We called in advance to verify last seating for lunch.

Unlike other hibachi places the veggies were not over cooked and were perfect. Hibachi veggies are not supposed to be mush. The cook, while not talkative was very efficient in his work and observed the traditional rules of the role - entertaining, skilled with the tools and answered any questions and otherwise kept quiet. Overall a very good dinner for me and the wife and and enough for a midnight snack as well.

For another observation I must provide a date and that would be 5/29/2025. The wife and I were seated with a younger couple and when everyone received their salad she balked and had her date demand that they bring another salad. Everyone at the table polished off their salad in short order but she picked at it and again had her date request the salad be replaced. Even after he had ate his salad. She again found something wrong with her salad and eventually convinced her date to leave the restaurant and they talked to the manager and he just let them go. At least they just did not walk out.

I have one piece of advice for the young man that was with her. RUN. NOW. If she is this big of a harridan now she will be an absolute hag in the coming years.

There was nothing wrong with the salads she sent back. Her demonstrated ability to control you means she is and will continue to be manipulative and it will only get worse as the entitled shrew gets older.

Shiki - 5 Stars and apologies for going off subject but I was betting the couple would post a bad review and try to get something for free. I talked to the manager before we left and told him that I thought he was very professional and handled the situation with the couple as best as possible, seeing as they had no real reason to act the way the did and maybe planned to post a poor review or manipulate to get some free food or something else.

Food was good and service was decent. Food portions were lacking in my opinion. Yomato in Norman has bigger portions, at least when I went there a few months ago. Overall a good Japanese hibachi place and good atmosphere.

Last minute birthday party. Servers and waitstaff staring at us, like they were urging us to leave. Staff dress like they are going to a ball games. Know attracting workers is tough, but some uniform standards. Cook cleans grill sloppily. No showmanship like other grill places.

Very amazing atmosphere, and the food and service topped it off. I arrived right as they opened and ordered 2 California rolls. I was greeted with an open door and smiles and had my food out almost immediately, and it was insanely good. If you’re looking for a quick and affordable place to go, this is the place for you.
Will be back another time! -James

Went for a late birthday lunch of what we hoped would be great teppanyaki or hibachi food. When asked if we want fried or regular rice, we both responded fried rice, not knowing that it would be separate costs from the actual dish which will be cooked like Hibachi. The food was so greasy, and not done well. The steak of the hibachi was tough on both plates. The vegetables were not cooked well either. No flavor to the soup, but grease stood at the top. We have been to many hibachi grills and never had to complain about a single thing. This was way too expensive for the quality of food. The sushi was ok, but still was a super big disappointment. We definitely won't go back.

Food was OK by hibachi standards but their sauces were not good in my opinion.

I took my daughter out tonight for her birthday, we had the worst experience and the worst sushi we've ever had. The food quality was sub par, none of the sushi tasted right and our server/ waitress was too busy taking shots with a large table. I only paid because it's criminal not to, If I could've walked out in the middle of finding out more than half of our rolls didn't taste good I would have. I'm pissed I paid $100 for this crap of a place. We'll never be back.
