I ordered the shiki garden $29. was shorted 4 sushi rolls. I also ordered the calamari dinner $25. and they provided 4 single ity-bity strips of calamari. What a complete disappointment.

The service was great from the cooks to the waitresses. The atmosphere was calm and fun, it was very well kept. Not to mention the food was great. Can't wait to go again.

The place is gorgeous but the food not so much. I didn’t see our cook use the salt or pepper once and he didn’t use butter or oil on anything. The chicken was dry. He didn’t put any teriyaki on my shrimp or chicken or my husband’s steak. Maybe it was just a bad night, but just not a lot of flavor to the food.

Terrible first timer experience! Don’t order the Hibachi scallops. They will short change you. I was was supposed to get 6 scallops but ended up receiving 2.5-3. The manager did nothing to fix the problem. Horrible! He only wanted me to talk to the man that made the food in-front of me (the chef). When I questioned why I received so little I was told that I did receive 6 scallops when in actuality, the reason why I’m questioning is because it was very obvious that I did not receive the amount of scallops I should get. The chef swore up and down that he gave me six scallops, yet I know for a fact that I didn’t get six scallops, I had very little . Again, the only thing that the manager did was have me talk to the guy that made the food and he insisted that he gave me 6, but I’m not stupid, I can count (I used to teach kindergarten) and I know when 2 1/2 or 3 does not look like 6. They short change you and do nothing about it. He told me that he gave me 6 scallops and the other strangers at my table were given 4, but it was the same amount that he gave them as it was with me. I never received 6 scallops. Terrible first time experience. The food was also very salty and full of soy sauce too. I went ahead and paid $29 (this included tax) for a dish that I did no fully receive. What else was I suppose to do? They treated me like I was the one that was out of my mind wrong. The guy that made my food lied and the manager does nothing. Wow, insane! Beware.

So, I didn't enjoy this place at all. It was empty during dinner, the table was so low and dim, asked to switch to the table with better lighting and they was ready to argue. Another couple came in, same complaint and left. Food all tasted the same, the show was mediocre at best and he served my food sloppily. It's a No for

Went to Shiki to celebrate a birthday and made reservations. Our party arrived right in time with a little wait as they cleared a grill area for us. Note that they won't seat your party until your entire party shows up. As we sat down, the grill area sat all 11 of us where everyone could see the cooking. We picked Shiki because we were looking for a hibachi option with a show. I ended up ordering the steak and chicken hibachi option with fried rice. The meal comes with soup, ginger salad, the choice meats, veggies, shrimp appetizer and sautéed bean sprouts. When the chef came out to cook, he was just okay when it came to the hibachi grilling show - which was actually important for us when choosing a restaurant. He didn't really give much of a show nor did he interact with the table. It was very minimal at best. The food portions were great. Ended up having enough to have for dinner the next night. The flavors were overall good, the salad though was very strong in a horseradish or onion flavor that was very off putting by a lot of us at the table. But the grilled foods were decent. Overall food was good, but if you're looking for a show, hope that you get another chef!

Usually very entertaining but our chef was fairly quiet. Sunday evening so there wasn't much of a wait.

I was feening for some hibachi. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't super either. I'll try it again next time I'm in that side of town. I live on the south side.
