Slow service but they were very busy. The three egg omelet was delicious but small. French toast was very good.

Fresh food made to order, that's in a great location. They had the best eggs today, free range organic. Kids get a drink with their meals, everyone enjoyed today's offerings.

Review left by 8 year old Cannon! Our server Bunny was so nice! The food was so good and I got quite a lot of food for my kids meal! We loved getting water right away before ordering our drinks!
Kid-friendliness: Kids meal was huge! Awesome fruit dish!

Vegetarian options: I am gluten free and they made sure my selection was gluten free. Of course the kitchen isn’t totally gluten free, but I had no problem afterwards.

This was the only place I ate at yesterday and I got food poisoning. ??
I visit Sunnyside weekly. I love the great food, bakery items, and friendly service. If you check it out, try the B.E.L.T made with jalapeno cheddar biscuits!

I like the food at this establishment, and although service has let me down once before, 1) one time is not going to change my opinion greatly, and 2) I genuinely understood that they were very busy. What changed my opinion is the white lady that was the hostess today with the big curly hair. I’m Middle Eastern and pretty much look like any other brown person, i.e. I pass for Indian, Hispanic, etc. The lady was rude off the bat (0) customer service skills, and said “we have a 20min wait”, I let her know I didn’t mind sitting anywhere, (it was just me, 1 person). She said there were not enough servers even though there were open seats. I understood and said I’d wait. She didn’t even bother to take my name down, I asked her if she needed to. Which she again did with an attitude. I brushed it off. What really irked me was not even 10minutes had passed by and a white couple walked in and with a smile on her face she took them and seated them at the bar right away in the two open seats there. I’ve never experienced blatant discrimination like this.
Half of my family is white…I’m not staying white people are racist. I’m saying this particular lady is clearly racist. As much as I like the food and some of the servers there have been very sweet, this left a very bitter taste for me.
Bacon was thin as a newspaper, potatoes were cold and mushy, scrambled eggs were a weird color and flavorless. Pancakes were acceptable. Restaurant was very loud, it's hard to have a conversation in that place.

Typing this as we leave here right now at 11:24 a.m. on Sunday August 11th. We don’t go out for brunch often at all, so this was entirely disappointing. They were a little busy but sat us fairly quickly. The waitress, heather, was extremely rude. She never asked us if we needed anything, never asked how anything was doing, my husbands coffee was never refilled, they put kids drinks in a large to go coffee cup?. We were still eating and she brought us the bill, never asked if we wanted anything else. Food was VERY mid but we were starving. My husband got the Okie poutine which tastes like mush, my burrito and hash browns were entirely unseasoned. We will not be back and I do not understand how this place has good reviews. This was such a let down because the diner itself is very nice looking.

I love Sunnyside diner. I've been working near this location, and have eaten here several times. The food is consistently good. The service is great, and the restaurant is always clean. This location serves as their bakery for all the other locations, so all of the pies and cheesy biscuit options are here. Definitely a good location if you'd like Sunnyside.
