Great service. I have eaten at Sunnyside Diner a few times and the food is good, but the service has always been outstanding, friendly, not pushy and attentive. The food is good basic diner breakfast.

Christoria did a great job, seeing that I had not been helped yet at the bar top as she was walking by she took my order helping out the other girl on bar top as she got busy, food came very fast as I was on my lunch and need to be in and out :) I got the midtowner, was a little more balnd than I imagined it would be thought it would have more flavor but pancake was awesome fluffy and good.

Fresh food made to order, that's in a great location. They had the best eggs today, free range organic. Kids get a drink with their meals, everyone enjoyed today's offerings.

I like the food at this establishment, and although service has let me down once before, 1) one time is not going to change my opinion greatly, and 2) I genuinely understood that they were very busy. What changed my opinion is the white lady that was the hostess today with the big curly hair. I’m Middle Eastern and pretty much look like any other brown person, i.e. I pass for Indian, Hispanic, etc. The lady was rude off the bat (0) customer service skills, and said “we have a 20min wait”, I let her know I didn’t mind sitting anywhere, (it was just me, 1 person). She said there were not enough servers even though there were open seats. I understood and said I’d wait. She didn’t even bother to take my name down, I asked her if she needed to. Which she again did with an attitude. I brushed it off. What really irked me was not even 10minutes had passed by and a white couple walked in and with a smile on her face she took them and seated them at the bar right away in the two open seats there. I’ve never experienced blatant discrimination like this. Half of my family is white…I’m not staying white people are racist. I’m saying this particular lady is clearly racist. As much as I like the food and some of the servers there have been very sweet, this left a very bitter taste for me.

Bacon was thin as a newspaper, potatoes were cold and mushy, scrambled eggs were a weird color and flavorless. Pancakes were acceptable. Restaurant was very loud, it's hard to have a conversation in that place.
