Good comfort food. Decent flavor for a decent price. Counter serve, but they are quick. They’ll have your blue plate special ready by the time you fill your drink.
Bathroom is through the washroom and down the stairs in the basement. Interesting experience. Doesn’t detract from the value. It adds to the character.

I go here once or twice a month for their Blue Plate Special. They are always so friendly, quick on getting your food to you, just over all great places to go on your lunch hour when downtown.

My 3 star rating is because I've had good and not so good food. Previously, I ordered the frito chili pie, which was so yummy. Today I ordered the blue plate special $13, which was chicken fried steak dinner. Yes, it looks so delicious but there is no flavor. It's like they only use salt and pepper to season. The steak was blah, no flavor, tasted kinda greasy. The mashed potatoes were instant and tasted like too much water was used and had a strange consistency. The...
