Lox everything bagel was delicious! We arrived on Saturday morning at 10:38 and was served out food at 10:20. Great food but don’t be in a hurry.
Overall the experience was good (we did the high tea) but here are the pros & cons:
Pro:
*food was delicious! Desserts were so good!
*tea was good!
*atmosphere was cute.
Cons:
*the table was ridiculously small where there was zero room once the tray & tea was brought out. We could barely move anything on table without something almost falling off ***get bigger tables, you have room
*I thought the high tea experience would be trying all the teas but it’s just 2. Something to consider. The 2 we tried were good & were 4 cups each.
*you have to pay a $22 gratuity fee at booking but once our server sat down the tray & tea we never saw her again & we were there for 1.5 hours.
Overall it was an experience but I wouldn’t do the high tea again.

Had such high hopes after dining at the Grey Sweater the night before. Walked in for coffee & pastries. Inquired about the cava & cheese experience; was told the chef could pull it together in about 30 min (typically advance notice is required). That turned into 1hr+.
Busy afternoon & they seemed completely understaffed. The manager did everything except make coffee. Tables sat dirty literally for hours (the one pictured here next to the window was dirty when we arrived and stayed that way until the last 10 min of our hours long stay).
But here’s what was most concerning, with a direct view of the kitchen, I noticed that none of the staff wore gloves when plating food. I also noticed the “chef” sweeping and then going back to plating food and they did not appear to wash their hands in between.
When the cheese plate arrived the cheddar had dry spots as if it had been sitting out too long or just was not fresh; and the manager served it with a smile never acknowledging our extended wait or gratitude for our patience.
This cannot be the experience Chef Black envisioned.

I was super excited to try this place but sadly the staff didn’t give you any attention until you waved one down or someone higher up noticed that you had been standing for a while. As for the pastries I was very disappointed I ordered a snickerdoodle cookie that was hard and my husband had an apple turnover that was more doughy than anything else.
Parking: It is very hard to find parking mostly because it is downtown

Great atmosphere! Food presentation is an A+. Quality of Croissants and Quiche are great! Cheese danish is also great. Eclairs are a bit overrated. Prices are high!

This spot has great potential and the pastries are beautiful, but they missed the mark on taste and service. The atmosphere is lovely. The girl who helped us was… maybe just not thrilled to be there? Well, I still had high hopes on what we decided to buy.
We tried a chocolate mouse: cute idea, but $5 for a very lackluster cake ball. We also took home a salted caramel cupcake that was supposed to be filled but was dry, inside and out. Like SO DRY. Again, $4.50 for a disappointing dessert.
I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I had wanted to stop in for awhile and now I wish I had skipped it.

Went for breakfast on Sunday… just to find out that they have no kitchen. Ordered a cappuccino (that was good) and a few pastries (that were CLEARLY NOT FRESH) - I guess that’s why she insisted in warming them up. Just a poor way to scam customers, especially those that are not from

This place drew us in, but the service was slow and awkward. We had to wait twenty minutes for two drinks and the macarons were terrible and crumbly. Drinks were good.
The pastries and other items we purchased did not taste fresh. The strawberry tarte was the standout of everything we tried. We also experienced poor customer service and long wait times for our food. The staff were having some kind of disagreement and service suffered.

Went for lunch today. Ordered the DUO of a soup and salad. Came here for the beet salad, but told unavailable currently. Listed online and printed on menu in person. Not sure if they are short on ingredients or simply need to update their menu. Decided on a house salad and butternut squash soup. Salad had blueberries and strawberries with champagne vinaigrette. Taste was light and refreshing with contrast of savory blue cheese. Butternut squash soup had good flavor. Unfortunately, the texture was that of baby food. Not much of a soup, but more of a thick purée. Always love their pastry options, but probably won’t order the soup again.

The French dip sandwich was delightful. We also tried a couple of pastries, they were decent. Cold brew coffee was fantastic. Great staff, and upscale feel.
