Decided to test the dining facility after years of not eating there. Going back as a TSgt when my last meal there was an A1C brought back some pretty good memories. Some of the staff from almost 10 years ago is still there and recognized me. Great people. The food hasn't changed a whole heck of a lot, but any change that has happened has been positive. Glad they finally have a card reader so you don't have to pay cash, though. That's what kept me from going back...
I ate here for three years when I was in the Navy stationed here. I also used this place to cook for some banquets and or ceremonies. The staff was always nice but all civilian. They always had everything you needed and food quality was the same as always at any air force base. I would def go there again. It reminded me of a place called Picadilly. Good memories but usually I went there to budget. Only thing was they closed so early which I hated. Usually I was too busy or tired...
I spent almost 32 years in the military and I learned to look eating in the DFAV, gslley, chow hall whatever. We ate Christmas Day Lunch there. It was great. Wife likes to go there too. We are there today for lunch and it was good. Laugh all you want. I like it. It's not fancy but fresh, balanced, healthy inexpensive salad, soups, main courses and desserts. I like it and I eat there once a month. It's pretty good.
