Volcano Sushi Bar & Hibachi

We celebrated my SIL’s birthday last night at this location. We have eaten here several times and it’s always spot on. There were 6 of us and we all ordered the hibachi dinner except for just one of us. I decided I wanted the filet and lobster. It took a very long time for them to get our food out and when it did come out it was brought out at different times. My MIL and SIL got their food first then 5-10 minutes later my husband and step son got their food and about 10 minutes later they bring my food out. I thought this was very strange but just glad to get my food. Here is where I decided that I would write a review. My food was terrible. I ordered my steak medium rare it was way overcooked and VERY tough, to the point I could barely chew it which now I’m positive it was not a filet at all. Lobster same way, so overcooked and chewy it was just almost tasteless. I’ve always had a great meal from Volcano but it just didn’t happen last night. I will go back and give them one more try just in case it was an off night but if it happens again I will send my food back and I won’t be coming back to Volcano again.

I'm new to the area. There were no hibachi grills where they cook the food in front of you. Hibachi menu was limited. Food was good but not great! I thought food was fairly priced but I lived in Japan for 5 years. This food did not impress me.

Lunch was rough. Chicken teriyaki was unedible. Sushi was gas station quality and not a good gas station.

We always have a solid good experience, service is good, the atmosphere is the sushi is very good!

This is our go to spot for hibachi! Everything is always so good, tonight my only complaint is that it took longer than usual and the steak/chicken was cold. Other than that everything was great!

Been there recently. Last time I was there were 2 yrs ago which was pretty good. This time. The place did what a lot of restaurants do. Cheapen out. The sushi wasn't as fresh. Neither was anything else. I'm in town on business. But several people who I know that live in OKC - mentioned to me. Their business has declined. So I assume other Folks have noticed the same thing I have. Move on to another Sushi spot.

Ordered sushi and pork katsu to go; the rolls were excellent, highly recommend Angel, Mexican, Spicy Farmer, VIP and dynamite roll. The rice was a little overcooked but I’m not going to ding them on stars for that since I ordered to go. They labeled the tray so we knew which rolls were which- I really appreciate that! Dog friendly patio 😃! We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend volcano sushi.

The food is always good at Volcano. The service and the ambiance are also very good. We usually go on Tuesday nights when it's buy one get one half off sushi, but it doesn't have to be Tuesday for us to go and enjoy the great sushi at Volcano.

Nice place. Sushi was good, hibachi was great. Tuesday is buy one special roll get the second one for half price. They were very nice, which doesn't always happen when a woman goes somewhere with a child. They even gave my son special kids chopsticks.
