Can’t believe this place is closing.. if you have a chance over the next few days to try Alejandro’s gem of a cheeseburger, DO IT. Can’t wait to see where he goes next!

It's absolutely Sad that this iconic spot is closing down after all these years simply because of a rent hike (rent doubled) by the "new (young) property owner" that also owns Sage. Absolutely unbelievable yet completely believable in this day in age. Hopefully VZD's will bounce back sooner than later and continue its tradition and legacy for future generations.

We come here often!! Burgers are magical! Live music often, keep an eye on their socials. Staff is always super nice. Definitely one of our favorite spots in the metro.

Wasn't too impressed when I went in tbh. Crowd demographic is all over the place. Music was alright. Spent 40 bucks on some shots that the bartender had to google, and were below average. Made me realize shots are a waste of $$$. Would only go back to support a local band.

WOW!!! I don’t know how to express the feeling of eating such an absolutely magnificently assembled burger. Hands down the BEST BURGER IN OKC!!! The sides were fresh and crispy, and the chef was superb even in his table side manner. The drinks were exceptionally crafted and the staff was ALL welcoming and professional. This will be a regular haunt of mine from now on. I fear that eating a burger elsewhere would feel much like infidelity. Thank you so much for the great service and incredible eats!!!

Might be the best cheeseburger I've ever had there! Saw my son BLY perform there. Great place to see live music also

I can't say enough about how much I love this place. The BEST burger in all of Oklahoma and I'd like to say in the US even. The Alejandro burger features a soft bun with two smashed Patties that are triple cooked (smashed, fried, and steamed). Topped with cheese, &fried onion strings. The service is quick and Alex is the friendliest chef ever. He takes pride on his food and his relationships with his customers. The burger is my number one recommendation here, but honestly every time I'm here I try something new too and it's all outstanding. He really brings passion to his cooking and it shows. The place itself is small and old -but they have live music that plays nightly on stage. I can't recommend this place enough, just please trust me you are going to want to try that burger! Plus get the truffle fries -they are amazing!

You know when you see these drool worthy pictures of food posted by the restaurant that makes you want to come try? That's what happened here.Burger was good. I ordered the classic. Double patties. The American cheese was melted gooey. Was it as drool worthy as the pictures they post? No. But it was a good burger. Especially if you are having a beer with the guys. The fries were good and left me wanting more.Limited alcohol selection at the bar. They do have jello shots for you shot lovers. They do have a TV up on the wall if you want to sit at the bar and watch sports.Once the band comes, it gets real loud and you are there for the band.Small venue. Make sure and reserve your table if you are coming for the band.

My wife and I visited here to also see one of our favorite bands play, Aranda. I had Alejandro's Onion Burger with truffle and parm fries and she had Alejandro's nachos. Surprisingly, both were absolutely delicious. This is a bar as well so the atmosphere can be a bit loud. Service was fast and friendly. We also tried some cocktails, the Red Nose and Alejandro's Ranch Water. Both were great as well.

This place has to compete with my memories of what it was when the menu was above the bar, the live music wasn't coming from a cover bands, unless it was maybe Dread Zeppelin, there was never karaoke, the four-topper table was still under the balcony next to the stairs, the food was top-notch bar food, & the staff was eclectic & attentive. I know it was mismanaged financially in the end but one thing the owner knew then, back in the day, was how to make the place the coolest place in OKC for many years. I'm not trying to bash the new owners but they are missing the potential VZDs has. It was meant to be edgy with some old-school sensibilities. Patios are great when done well; when not done well, it's an eyesore that looks cheesy & cheap. Don't do it until it can be done right. Perhaps tapping into the old owner's perspective would be something reasonable to consider though perhaps more realistically I need to embrace the fact the VZDs of my earlier years is gone & isn't returning. I'd probably like this place better if I never knew what it once was.

Wow! We enjoyed an amazing dinner this evening at VZD’s Restaurant and Bar. Chef Alex put together an outstanding 5 course dinner. The flavors were beyond incredible. The food, drinks and service were all top notch. We can’t wait to return for more!!
