I ordered a meal that includes gravy but didn't want it so I asked for salsa, instead. My thinking was that it would be 'no charge' to get the salsa since I wasn't getting the gravy. A side of gravy which is included with the meal costs $0.99; same amount I was charged for the salsa even though I was charged full price for the meal which would have included a $0.99 serving of gravy?Yes, I have $0.99 so that's not the important part of this scenario. Am I wrong for expecting it to be 'substituted' and not be 'upcharged' when the menu doesn't say 'no substitutions'?

I had gastric bypass surgery in January. It left me with an egg sized pouch and no stomach. I presented a medical card proving it and explained my surgery. They would not let me order off the children’s menu. They are not accommodating to physical issues.This owner has no concern for customers.This was my last chance for him. He is a bitter Persian. Not someone I am willing to support with my money.

This. Place. Is. Amazing. Ambiance is a perfect blend of the 1990s cafeteria and greasy spoon feel. I've never had a more true experience at a real local diner in all my years - did I mention it's on Route 66? And the wait staff is beyond friendly and helpful. My family with our 3 year old, from Texas on a day trip, we're floored at thr hospitality we never feel in our own state. It was beautiful the food - perfectly prepared, served, and tasted HEAVENLY. 10/10 would/will return, highly recommend.Parking: Simple, easy parking. Low car, be mindful of the dips.Kid-friendliness: The staff is super friendly with kids from what we saw. They were friendly and sweet to our 3 year old!
Friendly employees, I tried the chicken fried steak and egg breakfast and really enjoyed it. The chicken fried steak was tender good hash browns and pancake. The waitress checked on me regularly.

Wife and I had lunch. I had breakfast she had roast beef with mashed potatoes and yeast roll. Very good food all around. Bacon was crisp and my eggs were just right. A bit pricey but we're in our 60s so everything seems that way.

Wait staff isn't always nice. The seats are fairly uncomfortable. The booths are tight, if you get the wrong one. I find the prices to be wildly variable. But the food is really good!Parking: Large free parking all the way around the restaurant with handicap parking close to the door.

This place has one of the best chicken breast I have ever had. It is very juicy. The breakfast is good too. The prices are very reasonable and the service is quick. This was one of our go to restaurants in our weekly rotation when I worked nearby. I still stop by even though it is out of the way to get some good food. I wish there were more mom and pop diners around. Give this place a try.
