We live locally in Owasso OK and eat at Black Bear Diner often. This visit on Nov 10, 2023 was excellent. Our server was Juliann and she was attentive and made the experience lovely. My daughter was visiting from out of town and this was the perfect place to go for breakfast

This place is mediocre at best. DO NOT GET THE RUBEN as suggested in other reviews. Meat was so dry I couldn’t even tear it let alone bite into it and it seemed that the dressing wasn’t even put on the sandwich. The sweet potato fries tasted like they dipped them in oil then cooked them in the microwave and were soggy. The gravy somewhat saved the chicken fried steak but just barely because it was so flavorless. 0/10 recommend, I would’ve rather spent $35 a fast food place.

We came in and my wife ordered the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans with a totilini soup. She never got the soup, one waitress was sweeping the floor while the other one looked lost. Chicken fried steak tastes burnt. Green beans tasted like something that was microwaved. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant in Owasso. We thought it would be better than Tulsa and we were wrong. Paid 39.18 for dinner, big mistake... The waitress only came to our table at the end of our meal. Usually I tip at least 10.00 but this time I just couldn't do it. I never received my check, I had to walk up the counter, and she never gave me a receipt.

So first off, the waitress was nice.. the restaurant honestly smelled terrible, like a house an old woman lives in with her 50 cats. I thought ya know what.. it’s got a cook style, I’m sure it’s fine. Menus were neat. I noticed there were no appetizers, annoying but okay I’ll manage. Tea was good.. lol the food was absolutely trash. Honestly just really horrible. My husband was so disappointed because my husband and I almost never get to go out together. He was trying to get me to just not eat and take me somewhere else but I didn’t want to waist the money. Ultimately eating there in general was a waste of money. So just save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

First, I want to compliment our server. She did the best she could under the circumstances.Because two new cooks were working, we waited over an hour for our food.The server told our group we each would get a discount due to the excessively long wait. When my friend and I got to the register, we asked that the discount be honored. It was NOT.We don’t ever plan to return.

The family and I came in to the diner to eat together before I flew back home and it is such an amazing place. Our server Clydia was absolutely fantastic and amazing with us we were very happy with our service! I would definitely come back and sit in her section next time I'm in town visiting!

First time here. It was phenomenal! The waitress and other staff were exceptional. The food was delicious. I’m beyond pleased with my dining experience here. Thanks Black Bear! We will be back! My hubby had the Chicken fried steak with loaded baked potato and green beans. I had the taco salad. I swear it had a lb of ground beef on it. It was HUGE! Plus loved the decor etc.
Late lunch. Only eight people in the diner. Waited a long time to get our food. Part of our food was not prepared as described on the menu. The cole slaw and mashed potatoes were old and inedible. We talked with the manager and she reduced our bill. We were thankful for her response ; but the lack of service and the poor quality of part of our food means we won't be back.

Our server was Claudia, she had a smile on her face and was incredibly nice the whole time. She made sure our orders were right and took the time to come back and check up on us every once in a while. Me and my family will definitely come back.
