The restaurant is hidden on a side street in Perkins. It is not a recent cartel startup. The waitress said El Mexicano had been in business for over 15 years. They advertise as authentic Mexican and they are, with what I would call a little TexMex added in here and there.It was and excellent find for us. I really enjoy coming there when I am in Stillwater. It’s just a short drive from Stilly and the food and ambiance is very nice. Yesterday I had a poblano skillet with sliced poblanos, chorizo, onions, mushrooms and Monterrey Jack cheese. It had a great flavor and was perfect with chips and tortillas. The margaritas (rocks) were outstanding today. I highly recommend these when you visit. As you simply can’t beat the prices.
