The best way to make a good impression is to have dinner here.
Everything is good, and well worth the money.
Honestly, had a very disappointing experience at Red Oak Steakhouse on the evening of 03/15/25. We dined at Red Oak about 6+ months ago and had their truffled creamed corn at the time it was absolutely fabulous. I had been thinking of nothing but coming back and reordering that corn. Last night, the opportunity to visit Red Oak presented itself, and I had the opportunity to order the creamed corn again...what I was given last night was the complete opposite of what I was given 6 months ago. The corn was somehow bland with a smoky after taste. It honestly tasted like someone had taken a can of creamed corn and added liquid smoke.
My husband had the dry aged ribeye, which he later admitted was burnt on the outside and overdone on the inside.
I ordered the petite fillet, which, while tender, lacked seasoning.
The brussel sprouts were the only redeeming aspect of the meal. They were flavorful with a crispy exterior.
Service was also very disappointing. We saw our server twice while other parties received more attention from her. There were separate team members going around filling water glasses, and they did a wonderful job ensuring beverages remained filled.
When it came time to get the check, I had to ask someone else to bring it. I was dying to get out of the restaurant because once I finished dinner my stomach immediately started churning. Thankfully, they had a restroom within the restaurant that I excused myself to while my stomach decided on whether or not to empty it's contents into a public toilet. My husband said no way your stomach could have been upset by the food that quickly. A few hours later, my husband's stomach was also churning.
In addition to the disappointing meal and service, our table was so wobbly you could fit a copy of Grey's Anatomy under it. I had to hold the table down with my feet while we ate it was so wobbly.
In the end, it seems like Red Oak's quality has declined significantly since our last visit. I am all for giving places an off night, but with the drastic change in quality and service, Red Oak will not be getting another chance. You would be better off going to Texas Roadhouse.
This is a 100% honest review from last night on Friday. Getting a steak and supposedly waggu burger.
I got a dry aged rib eye. To be honest, it was completely burnt on the face side. Where all you tasted was charged and I asked for a medium rare and I got 100% rayer. And floppy.
The burger comes with mushrooms and onions. I asked them to put them on the side. And they charged me for that and not only that, but gave me and I am not even kidding. 2.2 pounds of sauteed mushrooms and onions. For one very undercook steak and a burger and fries. I have been waiting to try this place for years and I am telling you it is trash. And
That is being kind
MANAGER WOULDN'T MAKE IT RIGHT.
They claim to be fine dining, not so! My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary here tonight. Both of us had ordered filet mignon. His was cooked to his liking. Mine, on the other hand, was clearly under cooked, which the waitress noted right away. When my husband asked to speak with the manager, she came over and was very condescending. My husband was so kind to her even with her narcissistic attitude. He explained that he was very disappointed that he could not enjoy his dinner with his wife at the same time. She just stated that even though they had messed up, we should have been happy to wait until they cooked the stake again. Common decency would be to apologize and to make it right on the check. Since it was at no fault of the customer that you sent the food out without it being cooked correctly.
I've had better steaks at Texas Roadhouse. Not worth the price
We have dined here sporadically over the years when passing through. Last night's dinner far exceeded every previous visit.
The new Chef de Cuisine, Wesley Stephens, even took the time out to welcome us, introduce himself, ask if we had any questions, and then went above and beyond by surprising us with a special dessert for a very special occasion.
Mr. Stephens' arrival has definitely breathed new life into a venue that was definitely becoming tired.
Unfortunately, my hotel review I plan to post next will not be nearly as glowing.

We had a great experience. The food was incredible, very low wait times for it being 6:30pm, and our waitress was very polite and kind. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for a great dining experience!

Can't believe anyone would give this restaurant anything below a 5 rating. My wife along with her sister and husband have dined her several times and it's always amazing. I'd give it a 10 rating if possible. Great service, steaks to perfection, wonderful atmosphere.

Our first experience at Red Oak was not a good one. I anticipated a nice, quaint dining experience with above average food quality. Unfortunately that was not the case. The atmosphere, service, and food quality were that of a lower end steakhouse chain. My NY Strip was bland and tough. It was slightly overcooked and lacked the qualities I would expect from a $100+ steak at a steakhouse. A guest in our party had ordered Ahi tuna, that came out as a platter of rubber and had to be sent back. A separate guest in our party ordered a fillet that was heavily covered in gristle. The waitress seemed appalled at how our food was served to us, but little was done to make it right. If you want a good steak and a good atmosphere, go to Wilder’s. You’ll save some money and have a better experience. We will not be back.

One of my favorite places to eat. We almost always have a reservation because it's hard to get a table without one. I'm not into gambling but will go to the casino to eat here. They recently changed the menu up and I miss the Sea Bass but it's all still good. Portions are huge and wine list is long. Perfect!

The best part of our time here was our sweet and helpful server, Alissa. After walking through the smoke filled casino, we arrived to a hostess who was openly having a cocktail. We were sat and the atmosphere was fine. Drinks were alright and the Ahi appetizer was decent and presented well. We ordered the aged porterhouse cooked medium for two, which came butchered and overdone. The lobster add on was grey, which was alarming. Upon tasing it-I may as well have been eating cooked gym socks. The mushroom side was ok, and our kids who split the New York strip definitely got the better steak, but still may come back up in our stomachs. Our fault for chancing a restaurant in a casino-but those looking for a fine dining dinner, beware….most of it will likely come up in the toilet.

If you're looking for a classy quite dinner this is definitely the place to go! My husband took me for my 30th birthday and it was the best steak I've ever had! The waitress was awesome and very attentive, the manager even came over with some delicious chocolate cake to celebrate. The seating was wonderful too! Definitely try the stuffed mushroom for an appetizer!

Red oak is going downhill fast. The prices have gone up while the quality and service has gone down. The restaurant does not take reservations until they open. Unacceptable for a casino restaurant. The quality of the meat has gone down ever since they started buying commercial meat instead of raising their own. Many of the items on their menu were out.Their ribeye is a strange cut with no fat, unlike any ribeye I ever ordered, anywhere.Waitress did not bring enough bread or butter for our party of 4.The pork belly starter was inedible, and i had to send it back, which is something I almost never do.
