The food was pretty decent but the overall atmosphere was lacking a tid bit. We drove over from out of town to give it a try. We’d eat there again, but not sure it’s a destination joint! We had a burger and their steak fingers. The steak fingers were not your ole cafeteria steak fingers, they were hand breaded!
worked here last summer and can confirm the food is made fresh to order, all fried food is battered and made to order, and the kitchen is very clean (which you shouldn’t have to mention but you would be surprised how dirty other kitchens are). the owner is the sweetest lady and the restaurant is family owned and operated! will always recommend phillyhoma!!
So we ordered the cheesesteak small and the loaded baked potato half price lunch special and a drink.First thing that didn't seem right was that you have to pick a minimum 15% tip for no service as of yet seeing as we are just paying for it. Turned out the only service we got was they cleaned the table off when we left. Not really happy about having to pay that.The cheese steak sandwich was not bad. Nothing like a real Philly cheesesteak in Philadelphia but you're halfway...
