Showed up for a networking event here with SHRM. I drove all the way from Norman to get here by 7:30 and it’s not even open. Supposed to open at 7:30 and it’s now 7:50am and no one to be found. Several people have come up as well only to find the door locked. Hopefully this isn’t a common occurrence.

You were really nice and somebody tried to make me trades and drinks outside when they went outside and I was like no you're not having my drink because I already put my mouth on it and she was like well if you don't give me that drink I will make it out of your hands and throw it so I said if you get this o

Me and my girlfriend came in on a rainy Saturday morning and got lattes. Both were good! Nice quiet environment!

I'll be honest- I was skeptical coming in. Small towns are often lacking quality coffee. This place, however, was absolutely heavenly! Their espresso is smooth, slightly chocolate-y, and light on the palate. They make ACTUAL cappuccinos with the correct proportions. They pour the milk at the perfect time - allowing the espresso to mature, but not go bitter. And the pricing is lower than most places, $4.75 for a cappuccino, where most places would charge between $5-$6. I'm impressed, and will definitely be back!

so when I was a little boy I used to be homeless and I earned 10 dollars from winning a race at my school I raced the fastest person in my class and I won so I got the money and when I got there they would not even let me buy anything

Visited Comma for the first time today. I’m new to Shawnee. I absolutely love the atmosphere of this coffee shop. I just so happen to meet one of the owners Rebecca today as she was in working from home. She is super super sweet! Loved that this place had gluten free options too (best GF donut!) I have found my new favorite coffee shop!

They don’t have Diet Coke.

They don’t have coconut milk. If you’re unfortunate enough to be allergic to almonds, are lactose intolerant, and can’t do soy, you’re outta luck.
Be careful when it’s raining. They don’t have a rug inside the door and I fell hard coming in from the rain. A week after I told them about my fall and they still don’t have rugs inside the front door.
But, the servers are kind, the ambiance is pleasant, and they’re still open during the pandemic... so three stars.

Comma has *THE* most delicious breakfast burritos in town! The panini press adds a crispiness that elevates it from a normal burrito. They also add a dipping sauce on the side that packs just the right amount of heat. 10/10 recommend.

We visited from out of town, looking forward to grabbing a coffee at this establishment. It was busy, and having worked in retail for over 30 years, I understand the pressure that comes with that. There were two staff members in the back talking, which wasn’t an issue, and a male barista focused on making a drink for another customer.

However, the woman restocking the bakery case caught our attention. She didn’t seem happy to be there and ignored us completely. There was no greeting, eye contact, or acknowledgment that we were waiting. While we didn’t expect immediate service, a simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way. Feeling unwelcome, we decided to leave.

First, I LOVED the White Mocha Latte I got! It was delicious ?
Second, I got the Lemon Poppyseed scone and sadly it was a bit stale, but it was still really good.
Third, service was amazing, the guy who took our order was very nice and helpful about everything. 5 stars for service.
Fourth, the couches were really comfy, but they were covered with dog or cat hair. Now, I don't really feel like getting cat hair in my drink or my food, so I was really grossed out about that. They could probably use a cleaning once in awhile :)

Anyway, would recommend this place for a good Latte.

I am someone that genuinely loves visiting coffee shops. I love having the opportunity to see how other cafes serve their community, and I love trying new great coffees. I am not from Shawnee so I don’t go to comma often, but the times I have been it has been quite disappointing. The first time the water was out so I didn’t get to try the espresso, which was disappointing, but I understand. This last time, I was passing through, and I was genuinely excited to try comma’s espresso. I was severely disappointed. It seemed like the barista honestly just didn’t care very much about her space or the drinks she was preparing. It was nearly dead in the cafe, and the bar space was a complete mess. As for my drink…I have had messenger quite a few times and I know what their espresso should taste like. The espresso was absolutely over extracted. My Cortado not only didn’t taste great, but it was steamed way too hot, and no latte art was poured. (which I don’t necessarily think is a requirement, but it definitely shows if a barista cares.) It really seemed like comma has everything they need to succeed, but a lack of care definitely just left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m not giving this a 1 star because I haven’t been there enough to know what it’s like every day, but I felt the need to say that if you don’t care about the coffee you serve…people notice.
