I love finding these places. We came in from OKC for an event and I always try to look for a local eatery. Quiet (and busy) burger joint with a counter. Saddle up and order. Everything came out HOT. Burgers and fries were made to order. This places makes a really good burger plate. Good portions - not to heavy. Service was quick and attentive. Even sitting at the counter the waitstaff didn't smother us. I can see why folks recommend this place so highly. Keep iot up.

We ordered a double cheese burger combo with large drink, and a fish sandwich combo with a slice of pecan pie.
The double cheese burger combo was good. My fish sandwich was too wet to pick up, it was literally slop. I did order extra tartar sauce, but I think it was from the lettuce and tomato. I had to eat my sandwich with a fork. The fish tasted good, however. The pecan pie was decently sized and tasted good.
The staff is always nice here, asks how I’m doing and tells me to come back, I appreciate the hospitality.
I was working in Shawnee. I asked the counter guys at Locke supply. if I can only eat one lunch in Shawnee where should I go. they all said in unison . Hamburger King. i always go to van's when I work in this town so I needed a new spot. and let me tell you brother. how in the world did I not know about this place? the burger is perfect. all the veggies really fresh. the bun is soft and fresh. what got me though. them potato wedges. I never had any that were perfect. I usually avoid them. not in here. the server made me feel like I walked in the local church out in the stix and I was not a member. solid service. next level burger and fries. go to there. sooner then later
Oldest restaurant in Shawnee. First time here. Very impressed. Very similar to Kewpiees in Racine WI which is another awsome place to eat. Fast service. They have potato wedges instead of fries. A must to visit at least once.

What an amazing place to sit down and have an old fashioned burger. Nearly 100 years of history and tradition aided and abetted by an amazing staff that loves their customers. You order your food from your table by calling it in. The food is par excellence, especially the onion rings, wow! I highly recommend this amazing place.

The food very overpriced. The waitress was rude and pushy when I ordered double hamburger with mustard only and water. The meat patties were over cooked and dry. I’m diabetic and can’t eat deep fried food and eat bun. The price was $9.13
