My wife and I decided to give Chicos a try for lunch on one of our trips to stillwater. We were seated promptly and ordered water to drink. Our water arrived with chips and salsa. The salsa was really good with just the right amount of heat that didnt overpower the flavor. Gazing over the menu there were numerous items to choose from. The only problem with the menu was that it was falling apart. Literally the pages and cover had separated nearly 3/4 of the way down the spine of the menu. After a few minutes I ordered the Supreme enchiladas and asked if it came with beans and rice only to find out it didn't. So I ordered a side of rice for an extra 2.99. My wife ordered supreme nachos with a side order of guacamole and Pico de Gallo. The waiter misunderstood and wrote down "no pico" instead, so when my wife's nachos arrived there was no onions or tomatoes on her nachos. Nor did she get get her order of Pico. The food did arrive hot and was nicely seasoned. We asked the waiter about the Pico and soon it arrived. We didn't see the waiter for almost the rest of the meal till we were almost finished. Ot seemed thay they were more concerned with what the manager was doing than the customer.
As for the atmosphere, it really wasn't good. The manager was at the front door on his cell phone talking loud anough that anyone within 15 feet could hear him. Next a lady with a crying baby stood next to him while he was on the phone. Then he sat down in the dining room and wrote out checks and conducted business right in the middle of a room with guest eating. That's what office's are for.
Overall, great food, the people cooking did great! Service left a lot to be desired. As for atmosphere I found the lack of service and the antics of the manager wishing I had went somewhere else to spend my 30 plus dollars.

The best Mexican restaurant in Stillwater hands down. Their salsa is so flavorful- the best I have ever had. 5 stars across the board- food, service, etc. The portions are large, and the Margaritas are amazing! If you are looking for an Authentic Mexican Restaurant, this is the place to go.

Very good service. Crispy chips. Salsa was a little mild for my Texas tastebuds.

Good food, fast service. The tables are really close together. When a wait person stands at a table next to you to take an order, their bottom may be really close to your face! Ask for a booth or be prepared to be up close and personal to someone's backside!

Food was fairly good, waiter apparently didn't understand English and didn't know what my wife was asking for. She was asking if they had chicken straps so he brought shredded chicken and tortillas.

The food is amazing here, about the same as El Tap and mariachis in Stillwater. However the wait staff is horrible. They seem to all be family of the owners and don’t have a single lick of experience. They rush you for your orders, usually asking several times if you’re ready before you get sat down. Once your orders are in good luck getting them to come back to your table unless you flag them down from across the restaurant. They routinely ask for payment before you’ve even finished your meal, once you do pay they will not ask you if you need anything else and will not talk to you again. Once you are close to done eating they will try to clear your plates without asking. Legitimately i get better service at fast food restaurants.

I’m sure eating in the restaurant is an entire different experience ,so I’ll say this was my experience placing a “Togo” order…. Tried to call it in was placed on hold… they hung up. I called back assuming there busy, no answer I go in to place my order. They’re not busy. Place a simple order Togo they repeat it back it’s not correct. I regret tipping and wasting my 50 plus dollars with a 15 % tip for my to go food. I may try the restaurant experience but after that. Nah never again. Food was mid.

We had three taco salads. I had shredded chicken, and it had plenty of chicken. I thought the corn chips were kind of blad and not fresh. The service was fast, we had food in no time.

I have never experienced a bad place like this in a long time they had absolutely nothing on the menu worth ordering and the beans were so salty and the guacamole was so hot ? with too many jalapenos and their choices were terrible and my husband said it was ok so I assume he didn't like it either. Don't waste your time eating there and I had to ask for more chips and also one of the waiters was just staring me down they said he wasn't but I could see it on his face I did confront him this place is a joke.
