I found this to be a very ordinary experience. The server was a little too chatty for my preference but he wasn't particularly attentive. I ordered chili with cheese and onion as an appetizer (so I thought) and the "blackened chicken" with a loaded baked potato and cole slaw. I waited for about 10 minutes for my chili. I had a feeling that it was going to arrive with my meal. Are soups and salads served with meals??? No they should not be and the server should have anticipated that. I got his attention and I asked if I would be receiving the chili before my entree. He had a bit of a puzzled look on his face and said, "Oh you wanted that before your meal?" Uh yeah...maybe it's just me..who knows. He took another few minutes to bring out the chili. When it arrived, it had melted cheese and onions sprinkled on top. It was okay, nothing special, not terrible. Just MEH. It wasn't particularly spicy either which kind of surprised me. But, I ate about half of it before my entree arrived; exactly what I was hoping to avoid. The chicken was a very small 3-4 ounce chicken breast which had some blackening spices on it. I ordered it extra hot but it was only mildly spicy and did not have the characteristic blackened flavor of cayenne pepper or paprika that blackening typically has. I will say that very few restaurants know how to prepare blackened meats properly so I wasn't surprised. The baked potato appeared to have been prepared in a microwave oven as the skin was not crispy at all and it the potato wasn't fluffy or particularly soft. It was served with butter and cold precooked bacon served in paper cups. The bacon wasn't very good and tasteless. It was also served with a tube of sour cream. The emphasis was on convenience for the restaurant, not of presentation to the customer. The cole slaw was unremarkable as well. Blah
I visited Eskimo Joe’s a few days ago. The fries, which the restaurant is well known for, were excellent. I ordered the Joe’s Classic Burger based on several recommendations, but the pickles caused the bun to become soggy, which made the burger disappointing. I requested a fork for my mac and cheese and a to-go box at the beginning of the meal, but it took an unusually long time for the staff to bring them. The atmosphere itself was enjoyable, and the attached gift shop was a nice touch. The pricing was also very reasonable, which our group appreciated. The location on the Oklahoma State University campus is convenient. Unfortunately, the service fell short. Our table had only one server, and despite multiple staff members being present, none stepped in to assist. Many of the employees appeared to be occupied with personal conversations rather than attending to guests. Additionally, two male employees were loudly discussing meeting in the storage room, which came across as unprofessional. One of my business partners also waited nearly ten minutes for a simple request for more ketchup. Overall, while the food and atmosphere had strong points, the service significantly impacted the experience.
Every time we are in town we have to go to Joe's!! Lil' Joe's and cheese fries just like our college days! Excellent service and food.
Excellent service, great food, and the prices were pleasantly reasonable!
Vegetarian options: The black bean veggie burger is quite delicious!
Dietary restrictions: There are plenty of chicken options for those who don't do or can't do beef.

First visit to Stillwater and wanted to visit a local establishment. Not many options open on Sunday. The sweet peppered bacon cheese fries were amazing along with onion rings and The Fowl Thing chicken sandwich. We were too hungry and forgot to take pictures of the food. Had to get a t-shirt next door afterwards in celebration of their 50 year anniversary. 🤠

Good food and good service. I suggest you visit if you're ever in Stillwater. (By the way, to the sweet ladies at the front who directed me to the bathroom, I was not upset - I just have a pretty deadpan delivery. I'm sure my friend said as much, but I just wanted to reassure you I was not mad ^.^ )

Don’t skip out on the sweet pepper bacon. That alone is worth the drive.
Skip the pulled pork though!
