No wonder this place rarely has business! They deny legal 21+ year olds and accuse them of using fake ids!

Not an experience to repeat.
The Monarch is the best place to eat in Stillwater. The service is wonderful, the atmosphere is classy, and the food is delicious.
The owners and workers are kind and focused on giving you the best experience when it comes to fine dining.
I tried some potatoes that the head chef AJ made and they were phenomenal. I lived in Idaho for years so I know a good potato and these are the best potatoes I've ever had.

Ignore the people giving this place a bad review because when I tell you it is the best food in Stillwater I am not kidding!

This place is really cool inside. Feels very upscale and Victorian feel. Mixed drinks were top tier and the food was great. My wife and I had the steaks, which were great. The brown sugar carrots were awesome. My children had the burgers and my son said it was the best burger he ever had. Now this is a nice place and not cheap. Great atmosphere for nice date or party events.

Food was cold - I don't even know how that is possible if it was made fresh. Service was so slow that it felt insulting, a few apps and an entree takes over an hour to make it to our table of 2? All that and they want to pretend to be upscale with how much they charge. Abysmal. I will never be back, I will eagerly await for them to close down.

Waitress was very ruin and unprofessional I get it's a college town but if you hire young adults please make sure they are respectful. This place has a lot of potential if you get the right staff.

We made a reservation for three months in advance, and were seated at a table for eight. We asked to be moved to a smaller available table but it was considered a cocktail table so could not be moved. Husband ordered a cocktail they couldn’t make so asked for a Pinot noir and was brought a white wine. I ordered the shrimp risotto ($30+) which had about five tiny shrimp on what was almost the consistency of cottage cheese. We paid downtown Dallas prices for cafeteria food. If your standard is really low, maybe you’ll like it.
