I emailed this restaurant telling our experience, but no response so I’ll post here. We had made a reservation for a private room to celebrate a birthday. We reserved a room for 10. We ended up having 2 more join us, so when we got to the restaurant we asked if it was ok to add two more. They had no record of our reservation. My mom had a conversation with the girl who answered the phone about bringing a cake to the dinner and even got a text confirmation of our reservation. They had NO record of it. Luckily no one was there so we were able to get a larger room for our group. The waitress who served us did a good job and was very helpful, but was overwhelmed with 12 people to serve. Our drinks were never refilled. I had to ask twice to get a refill. She did cut up the cake for us and serve it, which was very nice. The toilet was filthy. I was surprised it was so dirty since it was 5 pm and it had just opened. It was gross! And the few paper towels had run out by the time we finished eating. This was very strange to not clean your bathroom before opening. My family of 4 all ordered the filet. It was terrible! Tasted like roast beef. I’m not sure what happened to this restaurant. We are always looking for new places to eat in Stillwater when we come visit our college kids. We just ate at Monarch in the fall and it was so good! Unfortunately I had made a reservation for mom’s weekend that I will be canceling. Update: I did receive a response from the new GM and they are working on improvements. He addressed my concerns. I really hope this restaurant can improve as it has a lot of potential.
Awesome drinks! Tyler is the best. Always enjoy stopping in for a drink when in town
Not worth the cost, better off just going to Hideaway. The drinks were great, the food was cold, I'd sooner reheat hamburger helper.
Absolutely not worth the money. The appetizer arrived soggy and lukewarm after ALMOST AN HOUR! One of the entrees was also lukewarm and dry as if it had sat out for much too long or had been microwaved, not to mention the waiter switched our entrees and we had to switch them at the table…The atmosphere alone does not justify the price, for much less you can get a much better meal elsewhere. Buyers beware this is a scam of a place… I’ve looked through the reviews after dining here and all they offer you for a terrible rip off is their condolences, avoid this place at all costs.
They have a great bartender though, however the overall experience ruined my day and my disappointment is immeasurable.

Nice art deco atmosphere. New on the Menu! The steak tip pasta was amazing. Paired great with wine and a charcuterie board. Great wine and spirits selection. Parents visiting their young adults in college should take them to this spot. Great date night location as well.

My wife and I just had dinner here on a Thursday night. We sat at the bar top.
The service we received from Tyler was beyond exceptional. It was best in class quite frankly. He is passionate, charismatic and attentive. He makes great cocktails, and enjoys what he does, which makes a big difference. In addition, the other staff we encountered were equally as friendly with high levels of engagement.
The food was good, and surpassed my expectations for a city this size. I can tell the kitchen will probably continue to improve with time, though they did not seem bad by any means.
If you appreciate the finer things in life, and a very well done aesthetic, I would highly recommend The Monarch. One of the coolest architectural restaurants in Stillwater; with solid ambiance and decor. Grab a drink and ask for a tour, it’s a cool spot.
Thank you for a great evening, Tyler, and team!

I made a reservation for my wife and I but when we got there they had already sat someone at our table by mistake. We were there 10 min early. It wasn’t busy at all so we sat at the bar to wait. 20 min later they sat us mind you there was 5 tables empty and they did not appear to be busy. 40 min after we were sat the hostess/ waitress took our order. One hr later we had not received our food and our water was only filled once the entire time. It was not busy! I don’t know how the food was. We left after being there for Almost 2hrs without getting food. The owner/ manager was running around like crazy. They need new management. the guy there had no clue and was the one messing up peoples reservations. Even if they gave me a free meal I don’t think I would go back. From talking to people that had received food they said it wasn’t that great and severely overpriced. Don’t waste your time or money go down the street and go to Everyman, better food and atmosphere.

We enjoyed our experience at Monarch. Tyler, the bar manager made us feel welcome with great service and great cocktails. Well worth the visit. Look forward to returning
Love that they have a limited menu, good quality and tasty food, and good drinks! Had been there a couple months ago so don't remember name of the server, but he did a great job and was very attentive. The ambience is great too, everything is tastefully done in my opinion. We definitely need such a place in Stillwater!

Excellent food and attentive service in a beautiful setting. Love the focus on local and seasonal offerings! Good to have this level of dining right here in Stillwater!
I went recently with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday. The food was excellent, the server was very attentive, and the cocktails are the best I’ve had in Stillwater. Can’t wait to return.

A premium dining experience for Stillwater! Good location, beautifully decorated, good food and great service. Unfortunately the kitchen was out of several menu items but what was available was delicious. I've been once for dinner and now twice for lunch. Stillwater needs premium options and The Monarch is a good fit.
Parking: There is parking right in front of the building and on the adjacent streets.

The decor, food, staff and cocktails are 5 STAR... Everything was amazing. We came to just enjoy ourselves and relax. Everything was amazing. The only thing that we would make a small comment about is... The older gentleman. I am assuming is the manager would not stop talking to every table, and would get super close and loud, and you can just see the uncomfortable looks on their faces.
Great atmosphere! Service was nice, not over the top but pleasant. The cocktails were very good and a solid wine menu that was not run of the mill. Well priced and not boring. As a constructive criticism, I would emphasize execution of the menu. It wasn’t without creativity, though could be more adventurous (for me personally). I would like to say this is the leading edge of where Stillwater should be headed but some room for improvement. I’m excited to go again. We can do it Stilly, show these folks some love. It’s a good start.
