The Monarch is the best place to eat in Stillwater. The service is wonderful, the atmosphere is classy, and the food is delicious.

The owners and workers are kind and focused on giving you the best experience when it comes to fine dining.

I tried some potatoes that the head chef AJ made and they were phenomenal. I lived in Idaho for years so I know a good potato and these are the best potatoes I've ever had.

Ignore the people giving this place a bad review because when I tell you it is the best food in Stillwater I am not kidding!

Server was super nice, Food was absolute GAS ⛽️, happy hour till 6pm and of course the alcohol 🍸 is top tier. Literally throw on a Polo and a Dress and come enjoy yourselves. Holy shit. 🤤🤤🤤

This place is really cool inside. Feels very upscale and Victorian feel. Mixed drinks were top tier and the food was great. My wife and I had the steaks, which were great. The brown sugar carrots were awesome. My children had the burgers and my son said it was the best burger he ever had. Now this is a nice place and not cheap. Great atmosphere for nice date or party events.

Food was cold - I don't even know how that is possible if it was made fresh. Service was so slow that it felt insulting, a few apps and an entree takes over an hour to make it to our table of 2? All that and they want to pretend to be upscale with how much they charge. Abysmal. I will never be back, I will eagerly await for them to close down.

Waitress was very ruin and unprofessional I get it's a college town but if you hire young adults please make sure they are respectful. This place has a lot of potential if you get the right staff.

We made a reservation for three months in advance, and were seated at a table for eight. We asked to be moved to a smaller available table but it was considered a cocktail table so could not be moved. Husband ordered a cocktail they couldn’t make so asked for a Pinot noir and was brought a white wine. I ordered the shrimp risotto ($30+) which had about five tiny shrimp on what was almost the consistency of cottage cheese. We paid downtown Dallas prices for cafeteria food. If your standard is really low, maybe you’ll like it.

We are so glad they have opened up for brunch. We have needed a classy place for some brunch cocktails and great food. The brunch menu is smaller unlike others, but executed phenomenally. We also hear that in February they will be doing it on Saturdays as well. This will be mine, and my girlfriends spot every Sunday. Cheers🥂🥂🥂

I emailed this restaurant telling our experience, but no response so I’ll post here. We had made a reservation for a private room to celebrate a birthday. We reserved a room for 10. We ended up having 2 more join us, so when we got to the restaurant we asked if it was ok to add two more. They had no record of our reservation. My mom had a conversation with the girl who answered the phone about bringing a cake to the dinner and even got a text confirmation of our reservation. They had NO record of it. Luckily no one was there so we were able to get a larger room for our group. The waitress who served us did a good job and was very helpful, but was overwhelmed with 12 people to serve. Our drinks were never refilled. I had to ask twice to get a refill. She did cut up the cake for us and serve it, which was very nice. The toilet was filthy. I was surprised it was so dirty since it was 5 pm and it had just opened. It was gross! And the few paper towels had run out by the time we finished eating. This was very strange to not clean your bathroom before opening. My family of 4 all ordered the filet. It was terrible! Tasted like roast beef. I’m not sure what happened to this restaurant. We are always looking for new places to eat in Stillwater when we come visit our college kids. We just ate at Monarch in the fall and it was so good! Unfortunately I had made a reservation for mom’s weekend that I will be canceling. Update: I did receive a response from the new GM and they are working on improvements. He addressed my concerns. I really hope this restaurant can improve as it has a lot of potential.
