A&W Restaurant,Tonkawa, OK

I stop for breakfast on my way to work the Burritos are Amazing- the guy i think he is the G.M is cool and the girl that works with him they are none stop on the go. I wish they sold the breakfast all day! Sometime ill stop on my way home for a cheeseburger and fries they are good but the people they have working there in the evening man they are slow. The morning people rock A&W.

The customer service at A&W in Tonkawa, OK, was absolutely outstanding! We had the pleasure of being helped by the manager, Al, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. He was incredibly friendly and patient while taking our order and truly impressed us with his generosity at the window. Al even gave pup cups to my two small dogs, who were disappointed they didn’t get to visit a coffee shop, such a thoughtful gesture that really made our day!

The food was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious, and everything in our order was 100% accurate. The attached service station was also spotless, with great bathrooms, which added to the overall experience. Thanks to Al and the team, this visit was nothing short of perfect. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend stopping here!

Parking: Huge parking lot overlooking a field. Nice to sit and eat.

I've eaten A&W my entire life & have never had such a WEIRD & unsafe experience.
We were driving through this town on the way home from a LONG road trip.
I was craving A&W and seen this location was on our way home.
We pulled into the drive-thru and tried ordering.
The employees barely spoke English, & didn't know or understand their own menu.
No biggie, I guess.
So we went inside to place our order, trying to insure no miscommunication.
BIG MISTAKE.
It took almost 15 min of my husband calmly trying to explain what a grilled chicken sandwich was..
I've ordered this meal for almost 10 years & truthfully just ordered it over the weekend in my hometown.
Meanwhile the 4 male employees are trying to argue & be intimidating..
Over what a chicken sandwich is..
It was never that deep..

I would definitely avoid this location.
Especially if you're a single female.
The male employees do not seem safe or emotionally sound.

Unable to repeat our order back amd it was a fairly simple one for two people. Biggest thing qas we asked no ice which they still ended up doing until we stopped them. Only people in drive thru and restaurant didn't look busy but it took almost 10 minutes to get our food. Pop machine was off as two different types tasted wrong. Fries had a weird after taste. All of the food was saturated in grease. I used to love a&w and was excited to move back near one but after this I will no longer be going.

What a surprise to find this small shop at a Valero gas station along the Kansas Turnpike. Got the burger combo - their onion rings were so good! Staff was very friendly!

I love this place the staff are always kind and accommodating it's also convenient to be able to get things from the gas station whilst waiting for the order, I'm not big on wanting my food immediately so I'm more than happy when they take the time and care to make it extra wonderful! The service is still quite quick but they do love to focus on quality over quantity. The burgers are objectively better than most fast food chains in the local area and further out!

Delicious!!! Pork tenderloin, bacon burger, and chicken strips were tasty. The amount of lettuce on the sandwiches was refreshing. Fries and onion rings, superb! Best root beer, ever!!!

Very nice staff, my Nana takes us there when we go to the Hub. The ice cream is superb and is very tasty. Would recommend to anyone traveling in the Tonkawa area!

Fries & onion rings seemed mostly dry & stale, like they were under the lamp for a while. Ordered a single cheeseburger, but was charged and given a double.

I have officially dubbed this A&W as the best A&W in the planet! I have stopped here several times over the last several months between my commute from Wichita to Tulsa. I am always created with a smile. My food is cooked to order. And it is perfect! I'm a sucker for the bacon double cheeseburger plus cheese curds and, of course, some A&W root beer!I think the owners actually work the counter and cook the meals. They treat their business with class and respect. Even though I've gained 5 lb since stopping to eat here consistently, I'm not stop at any time soon!

No communication between the cashier and the cook. Well, after I had ordered 3 other customers arrived and the cashier would not acknowledge my food waiting until she was done with all 3 orders. Which of course?Did not go smooth.

Kid-friendliness: Certainly no place to play, though, In the back there is a grass area for dogs and kids to stretch their legs
