I have passed this cafe religiously saying I would stop.Family came into town and went while I was at work and raved on and on so I decided to go with my husband for dinner.Let me say that This is Tulsa's best kept secret!!! I loved the intimacy and family like vibe and seeming every ones like family when they come in.The food and customer service was amazing!! I would like that you all would grow in business but always have my sit ready!!!! and the strawberry and blueberry crepes ♥️❤️♥️

I am a fan of the local Apple Barrel Cafe chain. They all have very good food at reasonable prices. I was near their 61st and Mingo store at a meeting this morning. Once my meeting ended, I decided it was time for breakfast at the Apple Barrel. When I pulled in the parking lot about 10:00AM, it was jammed. Why? The breakfast crowd should have gone and off to work, and it was too early for the lunch crowd. Once inside, yep the dining room was packed. My only rationale is that time is irrelevant when good food is being served. I was taken to a table by the hostess, with a waitress arriving just as I sat down. I was given a menu and a glass of water. I ordered coffee. When she came back with my coffee, I was ready to order. I ordered a short stack, two eggs over medium, and sausage patties. The turn around from ordering to receiving my order was extremely fast. The food was very good in taste and presentation. My waitress, and the entire staff continually worked the dining area filling coffee cups, filling water glasses, and instantly picking up dishes when empty. Bottom line, the service was exceptional! This Apple Barrel Cafe is the epitome of what I expect from the great and local chain. I continue being a fan!

My kid raves about the mouse pancakes and the adults love the other choices as well. Very friendly staff to boot.

We love having our Sunday Morning Breakfast here. This one in Tulsa off of 61st street hands above the one in Broken Arrow. Clean and polite.

You HAVE to try the Chicken Fried Chicken! It's on the breakfast menu, lunch, AND dinner menu. It is flavorful, tender, crunchy coating....did I say flavorful? DH has liked everything he's ordered too. Service is very good. The decor is really cute. Americana with apples and apple baskets. I think they should put some apple desserts on the menu.

I am a fan of the small Apple Barrel Cafe chain in the Tulsa area. I typically utilize the one in Broken Arrow, but today I was near the one on 61st Street in Tulsa. I was warmly greeted upon entering, and told to pick any spot I wanted. I did, and as I sat down I was greeted by a most charming waitress and a glass of water. I ordered a chicken fried steak, two eggs over medium, hash browns, and whole wheat toast. The food arrived fairly quickly, and looked good, and tasted good too. I must mention the chicken fried steak was such a large portion that it was served, and took up an entire dinner plate! What I noticed was that all of the waitresses were extremely friendly with all of the diners. The atmosphere at this diner was fun and festive, with a lot of interaction among the wait staff and the diners. The food was very good, but the atmosphere was even better! I will definitely be going back...

Service was great. Food was good and portions were almost too large! We went for breakfast and it was so good we came back the second day for more breakfast! I would recommend this comfort food palace any time. We will be checking out lunch and dinner the next time we come to town.

I had the apple crepe, my spouse had the rib eye. I also had an order of sausage patties, and a dinner roll. We were both very pleased. Very nice staff.

If you love traditional “home cooking” this is a place for you! Open faced roast beef, chicken fried steak, okra, burgers, chicken strips, liver and onions, etc...large portions!
