You can skip tipping without feeling guilty. It is a very DIY place. My mother took me here. The chefs at Eggroll Express (many years ago, the first Chinese fast food place in Tulsa) were better than this place. 88 BaoBao seems to be imitating the 88 Bao Bao chain in Northern California. Same graphics and menu aspirations. It's a bit misleading, as the Northern California chain did not list a Tulsa location on their website the last time I looked.
We ordered the Fried Shrimp Rice Noodle, the Grilled Squid and the Garlic Fried Green Beans. The noodles lacked flavor. The grilled squid came doused with an off the shelf Thai sweet chili sauce. The garlic green beans came with lots of garlic, as promised but were otherwise unremarkable except for inconsistent salting. There were salt pockets. It was overpriced for its level.

I was visiting Tulsa this past week from Texas and this was my favorite spot I had. The food was fresh and piping hot. Wish this place could come back to Texas with me!
STOP OVERCOOKING YOUR RAMEN EGGS!!! The yolks should still be liquid.

Stumbled upon this dumpling place, and it is incredible. Really yummy chow mein, and fried pork dumpling are to die for. Thank you BaoBao!

It is a hole in da wall. During the weekdays I'm always able to get a seat no matter what time I go. Made the mistake and went on a Saturday about 12:10 p.m. and the wait for a seat was 30 minutes and I was like number 5 in line. Needless to say I got my food to go. The food is delicious my favorite would be the wonton dumplings in chili oil and the cucumber salad.

Very good! One of the most authentic spots in Tulsa for Chinese food. I really appreciate that you can see the kitchen through the glass panels and know the bao are made fresh.

The restaurant itself is wonderful, just don't like being next to a smoke shop.

One of the best bao places in Tulsa. There's a huge glass window where you can watch them hand make the bao/dumplings to order and the results are excellent. One of the few we've repeatedly patronized and will continue to do so.
