I have celiac disease so I’m obviously highly critical of restaurants with “gluten free” menus. I ordered ribs from their “gluten free” (GF) menu at the 68th & Yale restaurant. The manager PROMISED me ALL items from the GF menu are made in isolation to minimize cross contamination. Well……….it is now 2 days after eating their “gluten free” item and I have been vomiting, had severe nausea, and experiencing the same metallic taste which accompanies anytime I eat gluten. I will never EVER trust Charlestons nor their gluten free menu. ANYONE with CELIAC disease should take note. Do NOT trust Charlestons!!!

So last night we had Charlestons and we were highly disappointed in the quality of the food. My husband ordered a steak that he said was the worst tasting, unseasoned, unflavored toughest steak that he had ever had. He took a few bites, hoping it would taste better and he deemed it inedible. The carrots and the potatoes were good so he just ate those. I had pork chops that were “well done” but they were hard. So I just ate the side salad. Restaurant was conveniently located. Staff was friendly, we just had a really bad experience with the quality of the food. Especially when you pay $75, you expect more than to have to just eat your sides for dinner.

Food was excellent. Steak was cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. I was really impressed with having no overlap on time between appetizers, salads, and main courses. Drinks were always refilled promptly.

I must say I had one of the best experiences there. The environment was very welcoming. Employees are super friendly and food was beyond great.
Excellent experience for a group of 16. They served us well and the food was delicious.

The food was okay, but it was not impressive. I ordered the paremsian crusted chicken and it was thin, dry, and flavorless. The angel hair pasta was clumped together and sticky. I ordered old fashioned coctail with well because it is cheaper, but they charged me for top shelf. Service was fast and friendly!! I think they are too busy getting food out and not focusing on the flavor and temperature of the food.Parking: Plan on driving around a few times during dinner or busy times.

Charleston's is always perfect. Or close enough that we love it! I'm a fan of prime rib. Great prime rib. Explained that I love real horseradish sauce. Not the corn syrup with flavoring at a cheap store. The waiter made a special trip, just to check. He brought back about a quarter cup of horseradish! Wow! Fresh horse radish!Mushrooms are wonderful! Key lime pie is great. Waiters are very knowledgeable, helpful & informative! They even brought us a special little container, so we could take home the extra horseradish! Love Charleston's!
