We stopped in for lunch and got seated immediately. The staff was friendly, prompt, and efficient. The menu was fairly large and the offered a lunch menu as well. We chose a sampler plate and chose chicken taquitos, quesadillas, and beef empanadas. They came with sour cream and chili con queso. The white queso was really good and I'm glad the waitress recommended it. We also ordered a plate of crispy beef tacos. It came with refried beans and mexican rice. They brought complimentary chips and salsa to our table as we were waiting. The salsa was super chunky with a thin tomatoey base and onion forward. It was very mild and mostly tomatoey and oniony. I didn't care for it, but I don't like chunky salsa or too much onion. The beans were thin and all mashed. There weren't any whole or partial beans left that I could find. The flavor was fine. Everything was completely fine and there wasn't anything wrong with any of the dishes. I have a favorite TexMex place that I've dined at my whole life, so it didn't unseat that from favorite by any means although this has more selections and variety. Everything here was mild and I wished it all had more spice like my favorite spot does in their dishes. I might come here again as it was perfectly fine. The service was really good. The food came out fairly quickly. The prices were good and the restaurant was clean and nice inside.

I have been going to Chimis for decades. Love the food. I love the queso appetizer as well, but there is no way I would pay $8 for a small bowl of it. That's just insane.

We are frequent visitors to your restaurant and all food is always delicious. Having said that, we decided yesterday to try take-out. We were very disappointed. First, my favorite is Chimi's rice - we received what seemed to be Taco Bueno rice; second, my flautas were cold and limp. This is not Chimi's standard. I hate to be negative, but I guess take-out is not for us.

Cimi’s Mexican Restaurant on 81st in Tulsa absolutely delivered, and the highlight of our visit was the incredible service from the bartender, Adrian. From the moment we sat down, Adrian’s energy was warm, welcoming, and genuinely courteous. He clearly takes pride in his craft and in creating a memorable experience for guests.
He made me a jalapeño margarita that was not only delicious but also beautifully presented — a perfect balance of heat and flavor. It was so good that my fiancée ordered the same one but with watermelon added, and it took things to another level. Adrian nailed it.
For my meal, I had the street taco platter, and it was just as impressive. The tortillas were soft and warm without being soggy or tearing apart, and the meat was clearly high-quality, expertly seasoned, and perfectly paired with fresh toppings and flavorful sauces.
This place is a gem — we’ll absolutely be back. Ask for Adrian at the bar if you want a top-tier experience!

They appeared upset that we brought 10 people even though they weren't full. I got the impression they would rather we leave, but it was a birthday choice, so we said we would wait. They seated us within 10 minutes..... The food was amazing though, and the service was excellent 👌
