Was just there waited in a booth over 15 min never waited in got up and was leaving was told by the waitress working the area have a great day. Never got waited on. Shame I'm a great tipper for service. Went to Ted's Cafe Escondido for lunch. Never again will I go to Chuys 2nd time this has happened

Very disappointed at this location! We placed a cake order as we order one from them every year and the woman who took our cake order asked us what time as we needed it for the next day but I told her any time was fine! She wrote us down for noon. We picked up the cake that they call a half sheet is actually a quarter sheet. Stating that this cake is a half sheet which is the larger size from a regular bakery but no these are quarter sheets like the small $20-$25 cakes at Walmart. However not looking at it until we were at our destination and the sides were falling apart the pan was not even filled all the way empty space on both sides and when we called them they said another manager would call us back and their excuse was their sizes are different and they needed 24 hours which we could have picked it up 24 hours after ordering but their employee is who chose to write down noon for the time. $37 when there wasn't even a full pan! We didn't even have enough cake for everyone due to their incorrect sizes!

Terrible experience even after we informed the manager we were having a terrible experience. Party of 14, several of us former service industry so we are very understanding & very good tippers. Service was terrible, had to ask for silverware, napkins, chips, and drink refills. Told them we had two birthdays at the table and the server dropped the checks without offering desserts. Informed the manager twice about our experience & he knocked some money off the check but never returned to the table again. We used to love Chuy’s but they have gone way downhill. 0/10 - will not be back.

I recently dined at this Tex-Mex restaurant, and while the experience wasn’t bad, there were a few hiccups. The atmosphere was cozy, and the food was served hot and fresh. One highlight was the portion sizes—they were very generous, especially for the prices, which made it feel like good value for money.
That said, the service could use some improvement. Our waitress wasn’t unpleasant, but there were small oversights. I asked for lemons with my water, but they never arrived. Additionally, I ordered a chicken burrito bowl but was served the steak and chicken combo instead. I’m not sure if the combo costs more, but I decided to let it slide and enjoyed the meal anyway.
The flavors were solid, and the large portions were a definite bonus. While the small service missteps detracted slightly from the experience, I’d consider giving this spot another try for the hearty meals at reasonable prices. With a bit more attention to detail, it could be a great dining option.

Thank you Chuy’s for bringing back the Elvis Green Chile Fried Chicken. This item disappeared shortly after the pandemic. I was thrilled to see it back on the menu and you did an incredible job recreating the magic from over four years ago.
The food is always good and that's what keeps us coming back but man the service is always hit or miss. I can't tell you how many times I've gone here and have had to wait over 15 minutes just for the server to make their first introduction.
