I love Mac&Cheese Comfort Food • $
1931 S Yale Ave, Tulsa

“Went to the soft opening of I ❤️ Mac & Cheese yesterday. The location was clean and bright and we were welcomed right away. The workers were super friendly and helpful, even with 2 adults and 2 kids asking lots of questions and such. It's like the Subway of Mac and cheese, where you can order one of their dishes or walk down the line and build your own. They also have various grilled cheese sandwiches offered the same way.We ordered one of their created m&c dishes and one create your own. We also ordered 3 of the mac& cheese tacos and two kid's meals. My husband loved the Buffalo Blue M&C and I created my own which was also very tasty. I like that they had grape tomatoes sliced in half instead of a hunk of diced tomatoes in a sloppy mess. All the ingredients were fresh and appealing. My husband was happy one of their proteins was pepperoni as he hadn't ever made the delicious connection of adding it to his m&c. The kids wolfed down their m&c with no complaints either. For the 3 taco platter the employees were kind and accommodating with us asking for different toppings on each of the 3 tacos so we could all share. The taco shells tasted like the package had been open just a bit too long, they were a tiny bit stale but had great flavor. I'm guessing the package was opened earlier in the day and just got too much air exposure before serving. Not a deal breaker at all though. The only problem I had was the price. It was good, no question. But when it was time to pay we spent over $50 with a tip. It was just a lot to spend on a simple pasta. We got 2 bowls of m&c (no drinks, just water), 3 tacos and 2 kids meals for $48.They do have a rewards program listed on the receipt that said to text to get your points. I did so, but never got a response and couldn't figure out how to sign up for their rewards program in the app.TLDR:The pro's - lots of choices, great customer service, clean environment, and pretty good food. The con's - just the price. I felt like we could go somewhere without the Subway vibe for $50.We will visit again - the kids enjoyed it, but my husband and I would probably just eat the tacos next time. Those were our favorite.

Kid-friendliness: My kids loved it! Kids meals include a drink, and the grilled cheese ones also include tots.“
