3/29/24 it has been 9 years since I have been here last. The owner updated the tables and seats, the restaurant is much brighter than I remember. The owner is very kind & hospitable. As for the food,,,, the best part was the garlic past. The rice, the Tabouli and the Hummos are bland. As long as for the main course large very bland portion of what is supposed to be mediterranean chicken Tawook. (seeing is believing look at the pictures)I had to add so much salt so I can eat my lunch, it's not my habit to throw food in the trash when there are so many people go to bed hungry ever day.One of the negative things also is there no bathroom or even a sink for customers to wash their hands before eating. If there was one then you have to go into the open kitchen which is not healthy by any means to allow customers to walk in the area where they prep food. Now I know why I don't go there.

Such incredible food, I cannot reccomend this place enough! From the salad to the gyro, everything is so tasty and full of flavor and the cost per portion is pretty amazing. Such a sweet owner as well who gives this place his all. Will be coming here weekly!

Portion size is great. Flavor and everything else is lacking. Price is $13-$18 a plate. Everything was missing seasoning. We was excited to try it out and was actually disappointed. I’ll be warming my food up later with seasoning at home for dinner.

Good location and generous amount however very poorly seasoned. For someone who had many a middle eastern meals I know sheesh tawook is more than mere grill chicken breast with nearly any seasonings.

I’ve been going to this location for its wonderful falafel for years..and the new owner has made some great changes to the restaurant atmosphere, much nicer and cleaner looking now..and the falafel is still great! I got 4 with my order and ate them before I could get a picture. Very good and fresh food, excellent friendly service.

The food here was great. Very large portions. The owner runs the place and does everything himself. I will return.

I really wanted to like this place because it’s down the street from my house and I love Mediterranean food. Unfortunately, I placed a to-go order and the man who took my order was incredibly rude and condescending to start off with. I asked for a gyro (Yes, I pronounced it Yee-ro) sandwich with a Greek salad on the side instead of rice or fries and a side of hummus with pita bread. And wow, this guy was on a war path correcting me and telling me what I wanted and what I was asking for and talking down to me when I repeated my order. So finally I assume he understands my order since he just spent 10 minutes correcting me and taking my order three times with his revisions. Whatever. I allow for some creative differences and lower my expectations on precision a bit when it’s a small place with language barriers. It’s typically fine. So I get there to pick up my order. Place is empty. He charges me separately for an entire salad which he shows me upon pick up and is so brisk and rude he barely opens the box to show me. Tosses it in the bag. 12$. Shows me the gyro sandwich. Tosses it in the bag. 12$. Shows me the hummus with a very modest side of pita bread. Tosses it in the bag. 10$. Got a side of tzatziki. Must have been 3-5$. Rings me up and it’s something like 37$ for these three items and a one ounce cup of tzatziki. Dear reader, whatever kind of wild interpretation of a salad I received was absolutely bananas but it was absolutely *not* a Greek salad. It contained no feta. No Greek dressing. No Klamata olives. Simply canned black ones. It had broccoli. It had a kitchen sink of vegetables on it and a sugary almost tabouli type dressing with a brick load of parsley. It was basically parsley, sweet sugary vinegar dressing, broccoli, canned olives, and some wilted spring greens instead of crunchy romaine. 12$. I took one bite and threw it in the trash. The gyro sandwich was okay but the meat didn’t taste fresh and the “tzatziki” is merely labneh blended with mint. There are no moments of yogurty goodness. No clean aftertaste. No cucumbers. The sandwich had some sad tomatoes and red onion but again, no feta. The hummus was served ice cold. Which normally I don’t mind but it’s nice when it’s at least room temp and dressed a little with olive oil or paprika. Nothing. An ice cold scoop of hummus straight from the fridge. Okay, no big deal. Hummus and pita is hard to mess up. Except the “pita” was also served chilled not warm, which was unpleasant to begin with and is the extremely thin, chewy, shawarma wrap style bread instead of the pillowy thick satisfying soft texture wrap of real Greek pita bread. I tipped on top of that because I hope the best for this poor guy who just spent 10 minutes telling me to pronounce “tzatziki” “TAZ-iki” when I pronounced it “Zaht-ziki” and then proceeded to charge me 40$ for food that I’m not sure what category it fell into, but it did not resemble Greek food. Maybe this was an off day, who knows, but wow. This food was truly bad. I’m a tipper. I never write negative reviews. And the food and service I received here was really, truly bad.
