I'm a frequent visitor to the drive-thru at the 21st location. It's so annoying to get to the window, and the worker sticks the machine out the window for me to put my own card in...in the hopes of getting a tip. You're making me do part of your job, and you want a tip too? What service did you provide above and beyond your paid responsibilities to deserve a tip? Do you give tips when you go through McDonald's? No!
There's one guy that's guaranteed to do this every time, and he's not even friendly. His voice is monotone and sounds like he hates his job. In the mornings, the sun is glaring, so we can't see the screen for the glare, all while he's stretched out trying to shade the screen, then I have to pull out my readers to even see what it says. So annoying. Too much work for an over-priced bagel.

For the wreck, I exclusively go through the drive through whenever skinny guy is working. It's pretty much consistently a bad experience. I was fortunate enough to have a very nice, very pleasant woman in the drive through on one occasion and got to experience what I'm sure It's supposed to be like

My Wife, and I stopped in Einstein bagels at 21st and Louis roughly for a quick sandwich to go today May 30 around 12:45 PM. I wanted a bacon egg and cheese bagel and I was asked if I wanted two or one eggs. I intern asks the lady at the register who was very stoic, bland, no personality, dark hair, not real tall And had the headset on her head if one egg covered the entire bagel to ensure I got egg with every bite. She again asked me if I wanted one or two eggs and I again asked the same question. Needless to say, I never got an answer to that question. The incompetency of not understanding a simple question and then not even looking at me continue to look down at the register and having the Personality that she did not give a damn about what the customer wanted was absolutely horrible. While we were waiting for our food, there was a young lady short dark hair. She had a hat on who was putting ice into the soda, machine and stuff. I believe she overheard me telling My Wife, that I was unhappy with the service And she asked us if we would like a water cup. She was also the same young lady that brought our food to us to go and she was absolutely very nice, courteous and pleasant. But the first one at the register with the red T-shirt longer darker hair headset on was not a good reputation of Customer service anywhere

updating my review with context: The first time I went here I came an hour before their advertised closing time as seen on google. They were closed— or closing. An employee was sitting outside and watched us walk up to the door (which also showed the same hours). It was locked. The employee didn’t bother saying anything to us. Perhaps they were off the clock? Either way, why were you closed an hour early?
We did eventually come in another day (two hours before closing just in case. it was open! yay) and got a variety of bagels and a cream cheese. The bagels didn’t taste fresh and were pretty tough but the cream cheese was good; the service wasn’t exactly great. The experience was disappointing. Life goes on.
I now go to a different bagel place that has always been open when they say they’ll be open.
