Everything was pretty good. Some very friendly people come in here and they will talk to you during your meal so if you're not social, I don't recommend this place. Also, if you talk to people while they are eating with their family, you probably shouldn't. Kinda intrusive and rude.

It's good, wet burrito is the go to. I made the mistake of ordering the cheese enchiladas to try something different. They were good, but not as good as the wet burrito or torta.

I visited El Rio for th second and last time yesterday 3/23/25

First I'll lead with if you are non-white and non spanish speaking, you may want to skip this hole in the wall.

I ordered take out. I was telling the lady walking order as she was walking away. Not a pinch of friendliness in her, not even a fake smile. Just this bothered snarely look on her face. As she walked away with me shouting my order to her, I noticed her be real friendly with hispanics patrons. I could say maybe there is language barrier, but her face and glare voids that point.

The sauce covered my burrito in the Styrofoam container that was put in a plastic supermarket like bag. So you know how this went. By time i get to my destination, I have a wet soupy mess. Sauce in the bag, and a soggy burrito

I vote with my dollars. So although the flavor was there, I will not returning. Sad because i like to supoort local business. And I love to tip when the service is fair.
Take out not so much, but I do so anyway. In this case my opinion? you did not work for a tip you worked for your pay. Paid! Bye

Really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and delicious food. I got the Wet Burrito and would recommend it. Please be aware that the area this restaurant is located in does not give it curb appeal but it is a very good hole in the wall restaurant and was safe during the visit.

My daughter and I stopped by after a sightseeing tour. From the outside, the little building looks very unassuming. Don't let the building or bars on the windows and door stop you! This place has the most authentic Mexican food I have ever eaten! I had the 'Wet Burrito', this is what the restaurant claims as their 'Claim to Fame'. Let me say, it was the best burrito I have ever had! If you are in Tulsa be sure you give this place a try!

Thought the food was okay. The atmosphere was okay. The service was great! They stayed on top of our teas amd the food came out fairly quick. If you want a beer or margarita, they dont serve any alcohol, so keep that in mind.

Terrible place to have breakfast. The waitress, very respectful, didn't even greet me. I asked her for some ranchero eggs and there were 2 minutes left until 11 and she said, "They're not going to make them for you. We'll only serve breakfast before 11 o'clock. If I tell her, she doesn't say anything and since you want the potatoes and you want the eggs raw, I Hungry and withstands the woman, I stopped, as I had already ordered a soda, I paid for it and left, she told me that they are going to do it to you. I responded to her way of addressing me, I didn't like it, I don't know if it was the owner or an employee, a terrible place with service.

Great place to take friends, if they're not familiar with Mexican Food.
It's small, so it can be crowded, but that's part of the charm.
Start with chips and salsa, and a bottle of Mexican Coke is a must.
You can tell good Mexican food based on the rice and refried beans and their's are yummmo.
I like the Bistec Ranchero with flour tortillas and the enchiladas are always fail proof delicious.

Absolutely love this place. I always stop here when I'm in town. I love their wet burrito and bring a storage container with me so I can fly back home with an extra one for lunch the next day. Excellent food and excellent service!!
