Words cannot convey how much I love El Rio Verde. Today will mark my second visit to this restaurant, cementing my stellar opinion of both the food and service. This is easily my favorite Mexican restaurant in Tulsa. If you're reading this and are new to this eatery, I'd recommend starting with a wet burrito or a shrimp enchilada. Honestly, though, you'll be safe with just about anything that you pick.For the salsa enthusiasts out there, ask for the "diablo" salsa... I underestimated it, just as you will. It's wonderful. Painfully wonderful. 5 stars all around.

Most all of your 1 star reviews are restaurant and NOTHING seems to make you happy. El Rio Verde is one of the best places in tulsa to get authentic mexican food and obviously they have a very very good reputation. I just want to say DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS PERSON AND GIVE IT A TRY. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. THIS PERSON JUST CLEARLY CAN NKT BE SATISFIED. Alll I can say is "wet burrito" if you eat here and I suggest you do you have got to try the wet burrito. They are amazing and the price is great as well. We go often and they have great food. It's small hole in the wall place but don't let that fool you. You won't be disappointed.

Long time ago, a friend dragged me here for the so call wet burrito. Gotta say it is a burrito alright, not only it wet BUT should say it is a gigantic wet burrito.Glad to see it has not change.The chips are fresh and crysty, add a bit of salt and it is tasty!The salsa is right, if you want a bit more spicy, just add the Valentina.Must say one of the original down to earth tasty Mexican jewel in T-town!Must try, if you think you can handle the wet gigantic burrito!

Some of the best, authentic, and inexpensive Mexican food you'll find in Tulsa
It is a place that has good service, the staff is extremely friendly, except for a young boy, I don't know if he is the boss's son or something. On the other hand, the food is excellent, good portions and delicious flavor. I have seen many, many Americans come to this place. It is not a large or luxurious place, the exterior paint is quite sloppy, don't be fooled by appearances, but once you enter the place is very clean and the service is fast.

This is not the easiest place to order vegan items from yet I've been coming here regularly since they opened. In all of that time (since ~1999?) I've only experienced 1 (one) mishap with the food that was received [the exchange for what was ordered was quick and easy]. I've recently come to understand how big of a deal this is! English is a stupid language that has -rules- that are basically meaningless, pronunciation of English words is anyone's guess and still with so many of the wait staff having English as their non-primary language, they absolutely nail it every time. Mad respect for the care the staff takes to make certain they get everything right. Our orders aren't simple either e.g., "a veggie wet burrito without rice, cheese, or sour cream" or "a torta without meat, mayo... [this is what my spouse orders so I'm unfamiliar with the exact specifics to make this vegan], add beans." The amount of wait staff for whom English is their primary language that cannot get orders right at so many other places in Tulsa- at every price point- makes this extra special. The staff care, they want to get the order right, and they always do! The salsa is tasty, the guac is a good time, they serve Coke with actual sugar. This place is ab fab. Our omni friends, our vegetarian friends, everyone like this spot. The prices are more than fair, especially when one experiences such great service from the staff. I'm always happy when we eat here and am always looking forward to the next visit.
