This is our second visit. The food was even better this time than the last visit. Today’s meal was Chicken Fried chicken with the sides of Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Mac and Cheese, Greens, Okra and Tomatoes, and Cabbage. The okra and tomatoes were perfect, the seasoning was just right. Greens can be a little bitter and a littler boring, not so for theirs. Again, perfect seasoning and wonderful flavor. I normally don’t order mac and cheese, but I just had to try it. Rich! Creamy! Cheesy! I didn’t try the cabbage or the mashed potatoes, but my wife reported them to be perfect also. The chicken fried chicken was large, perfectly battered and fried to a flawless golden brown! It was covered with homemade cream gravy. I continue to offer this advice from my previous review. If you are short on time, this is probably not your place. It is packed at lunch time, and the pace of the servers is a little laid back. If you do go, try to get a table as close to the kitchen as possible, to save you server a long walk. The service here is average.

Let's start with the place itself. It's old and very outdated. Pieces of broken carpet and just not a clean look. If you need to use a toilet, you need to go outside and 5 doors down there is one. Now the food, I really wanted to like this place, and considering all the good reviews I thought I would. Not that I really disliked the food, but there wasn't anything fresh. Everything tasted as it was either canned or frozen, and I was expecting more. The one thing that I actually DIDN'T like was the Mac and Cheese. It was a somewhat salty watered down "sauce" that it was just terrible

I love that. I went to them a long time ago when it was on Greenwood and I thought it closed down, because I moved out of town but once I realized that they didn't close down, They just moved locations. I had to go get me one of those dinner rolls oh my gosh. They are so delicious it melts in your mouth. That strawberry cake she put her leg in that. Trust me go for yourself, you will love it
