We followed the Google directions to Evelyn's, but when we got there (at the airport) it was Wanda J's. It was WONDERFUL! We are still talking about it two weeks later. The special was fried chicken, and we all ordered it. Very friendly place, the cook came out and joked with us about all that food and "swimsuit season." He said they only use fresh, never frozen chicken, and they order the small, tender size. Those of us "of a certain age" remember how much smaller "fryers" used to be and that what is now called a fryer used to be a baking chicken. Anyway, we wish we lived closer as it was worth the trip to Tulsa. Ms. Wanda came in before we left and stopped to say "Hi."

My husband look this place up, we are from Arizona driving through. This place was amazing, the food was seasoned perfectly!! I had smothered chicken, greens and cabbage. My husband and my daughter had wings sweet potatoes and Mac n cheese. The young girl that took our order was such a delight, very sweet! They should consider opening a restaurant in Tucson ?. Two thumbs!!!

Evelyns is now Wanda Js. They are related and the food is great! Still the place to go for fried chicken. Haven't had a bad meal here. Go hungry. Enjoy! The service can be slow, but the chicken is worth the wait and is made to order. Try the fried potatoes and the fried cabbage. (Yes, I know, fried cabbage sounds strange but yum! Even if you don't like cabbage)

Best fried chicken!! Everything was fresh an hot. My friend ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, she said it was wonderful an the side of black eyed peas was the best she tasted. I had the candied yams, great flavor. Peach cobbler a tad too sweet, but I ate it! Jazzy was our waitress, great gal. Only drawback? Difficult to find, needs more signs near road, if you're not familiar of it's Evelyn's old restaurant you don't know it's tucked between businesses. Going back soon!

I went from Okc to Tulsa to measure for a Patio cover that our company Discount Remodelers was to build so before heading up there I searched for the best fried chicken in Tulsa and found Evelyn's and I'm sure glad I did because the food was amazingly delicious The chicken was flavored just right and juicy and the cornbread and cabbage was just as good. I highly recommend Evelyn's because the food and service was top notch. They are next to the airport

The new place for Wanda J's. Just a change of name and location. The food is still the same. Hubby got a$10 Texas toast breakfast sandwich. I wasn't impressed. I never did like the restaurant, but that's me. He was very pleased, so I guess it was OK. To each his own.Parking: Some spots. But the place wasn't busy at 9am.

We expected to eat at Evelyn's but it has recently changed to Wanda J's. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. It took some time for it to come out. Not much to look at while your waiting. To go to the bathroom you have to walk outside and go 5 doors down.
