First I want to say that I'm giving my honest and fair opinion. I am not comparing F's to any other place but rather coming as pacific island kid growing up eating the type of food F's offers. With thats being said, I am here on a Monday 05/06/2024. I came to check out their Musubi Monday. I recently ordered before and I got the chicken katsu and pork and it was not great but that's a conversation for another day. Today is about Mususbi Monday. I decided to give it another shot and this time I got spam and egg musubi and chicken katsu musubi. I am sorry but I'm disappointed again. It's just feels plain. It doesn't have that taste that I remember or looking for. There's no furikake on the rice. If it's allergy issue, maybe rice vinegar so it kind of accentuates that umami taste from the seaweed. The seaweed is a bit over bearing. Maybe downsize a little bit. The rice came apart. Mix rice vinegar on kokuho or calrose rice or even by itself it won't fall apart. The rice was "mid". You can easily tell it's not the right kind of rice. Chicken katsu is okay. I'll come back but I just wish it was right kind of rice, furikake, rice vinegar, etc, you know, that home taste I was looking for.

Thanks for the burned food, less talking and more attention to the cooking would be good

It's great food! If we compared it to Hawaiian bros, my opinion, F's is much better, but I'm not sure they are equal. Hawaiian bros is a chain, which in my mind is replicated consistency. On the other hand, F's is like sitting in a kitchen filled with love. The ingredients are superb and everything is packed with flavor. I really like the chicken and short rib plate. The soups were good. Next time I will try some of the pork. Yes I tried the seaweed wrapped spam, which they sell at Hawaiian bros too. I think even that I enjoyed more at F's Hawaiian. Give it a try if you seek adventure. Looks like they have ramen and Boba too.

Surprisingly good. Very authentic flavor and live their sauces. Def going to be back. Had the Volcano Chicken Katsu, Island combo plate(short ribs, chicken, beef) big island portions. I think they can do a better job on the spam Musung

I have been following the reviews for F’S Hawaiian Food as it operated as a food truck. Rave reviews from Californians, Hawaiians (experts) and all the cool kids. I have stayed away because, 1. I was skeptical about how good the food really was and 2. I don’t do food trucks. I’m glad to see that they took the wheels off. Time to try it.But first, disclosure… I don’t know “come here from sic them” about Hawaiian food. I have been to the new chain restaurant that recently opened in Owasso. I didn’t care for the plain white rice, the tasteless macaroni salad or the sweet sticky chicken. The Spam Musubi is a different story. I could eat a shoe box full of those things. With that said and as with most all of my reviews, the rating is simply an indicator of how well I liked the food and service. Not to be taken as an indication of how authentic food is. I don’t know. They have a large menu. I wanted to stay away from the sweet sticky stuff. I know I don’t like it. My wife and I ordered two of the specialty plates. I had the #5 F's Hawaiian Spicy Chicken and my wife had the #12 Garlic Shrimp. The Hawaiian Spicy Chicken is a big serving of dark meat chicken grilled to a nice caramelized finish, with pepper and onion, on a bed of fresh shredded cabbage. It did have the spice. Excellent. My wife’s grilled shrimp was cooked just right, with onion, served on a bed of chopped cabbage and mixed with roasted garlic bits. There was no doubt that she enjoyed the meal. The macaroni salad had a great flavor. I normally would avoid the stuff. Both of these are meals are recommended. The other meal that looks delicious is the #9. Loco Moco, and of course the Spam Musubi. The service is adequate. It is a minimal food truck/fast food style of operation. Order at the counter, your food is delivered to the table. The food is served in to-go foam containers.

It's a pleasantly surprising unexpected place to find. They aren't flashy with decor but it is not needed. The aroma from the food when you walk in captures your attention. Good variety of items to eat or drink and the staff is super friendly.

UPDATE:Food has been lacking lately and sometimes service is a miss. Recent trip our food was a little bit too salty and our meat was not properly cooked through. Hence why it’s now 1 star and no longer 4 star. The beef was very chewy and didn’t have a char to it. Chicken were undercooked. I have no idea if the previous chef quit or what.. so sadAbsolutely amazing food. We got the F’s speciality and spam musubi. The meat was perfectly cooked with the right amount of sauce and not too salty. One thing I cannot do is salty food. Unfortunately, quite a few restaurants food is overly salty. But this place does the perfect right amount. So 10/10 for the speciality. Love the mac salad. It pairs nicely with the meat. For spam musubi I feel like the rice and spam ratio isn’t great. The spam slice is a little bit too thin in my opinion. It’d be great if it could be a little bit thicker so that it’s a perfect balance. Also it should have more musubi sauce so the rice doesn’t overwhelms the whole thing. So I’ll rate that 8/10. Still very yummy!Food was delicious and the owner is great! I can’t wait to eat again. This place is our go to spot now ❤️❤️ I’ve had L&L from Cali and this place is to their level I would say. Also I love that their cabbage is thinly shredded. Really makes a difference. Although I would like it if they could add a bit more.*Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the musubi. It was gone in a flash.

Ordered a chicken bowl, beef plate, and two milk teas. A few pieces of chicken were undercooked and the whole bowl lacked seasoning even with the extra sauce they provided it was still bland. The beef and the sides were really good. The boba in both milk teas was undercooked almost rock solid. When we got home we recooked the boba and it was perfect. The milk tea itself was really good though. Overall not really worth the price of 42 dollars total.
