Howdy Burger Mother Road Market

I overheard the cashier tell the customer in front of me “we do accept tips”. Unacceptable customer service behavior.

Visited the store on May 10th. Hadn't yet gone to Mother Roads Market, so we made the stop for my sister's birthday. My sister and I decided we'd try a Howdy burger. Looking at the menu, it was a bit pricey, but we decided to give it a try. We both had a double/w cheese $8.50. I got fries, and she got the onion rings $4.00. No drink for me, but since it was her birthday, the cashier gave her a drink on the house. The burger was small, but it tasted OK. Fries got cold too fast, not good. Before we left, my sister ordered a single burger to go. We both paid using a card. There was a customer ahead of me, and the cashier said something about we do accept tips, and then she proceeded to take my order. Both order totals were $12.48. I'm not sure of the total for takeout burger. NOW HERE'S THE KICKER!!! I'M LOOKING AT MY ONLINE BANKING MONDAY AND $17.48 WAS CHARGED TO MY ACCOUNT. RIGHT THEN I SAID THIS ***** GAVE HERSELF A $5 TIP WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION. I FOUND MY RECEIPT AND THE TOTAL IS $12.48. THE CASHIER HAS FIGURED OUT HOW TO ADD IN A TIP WITHOUT THE CUSTOMER'S KNOWLEDGE. AT THIS POINT I'M HOT!! BECAUSE YOU JUST STOLE FROM ME. SHE GOT MY SISTER I'M GUESSING TWICE, $10.00. THIS IS STRAIGHT UP STEALING!! AND COULD HAVE CAUSE EITHER ONE OF US TO HAVE A NEGATIVE BALANCE IN OUR ACCOUNTS AND BOUNCED CHECKING FEE'S THROUGH OUR BANKS. THE NERVE OF SOMEONE THINKING THEY KNOW WHAT'S IN YOUR ACCOUNT AND DECIDE TO PAY THEMSELVES. FROM HERE I CALLED THE STORE AND GOT THE MANAGERS' NAME. (STEVEN) I TOLD HIM WHAT HAD OCCURRED GAVE HIM THE INFORMATION NEEDED. HE OFFERED ME NO APOLOGY AND SAID HE WOULD CHECK IT OUT AT THE END OF THE NIGHT AND GET ME MY MONEY BACK. TOLD HIM MY SISTER WAS ALSO GONNA CALL HIM FOR HER MONEY. I'M EXTREMELY MAD AT THIS POINT BECAUSE I HAVE CALLED THE MANAGER (STEVEN) 4 TIMES ABOUT MY MONEY BEING PUT BACK INTO MY ACCOUNT. THE LAST CALL HE CHUCKLED AND TRIED TO OFFER ME A MEAL. NO, SIR!!! I WANT MY MONEY TO BE REFUNDED THE SAME WAY IT WAS TAKEN. IT'S BEEN OVER 12 DAYS AND I STILL DON'T HAVE MY MONEY BACK. THE YOUNG LADY NEEDS TO BE FIRED FOR STEALING . HOW MANY CUSTOMERS HAS SHE DONE THIS TOO. I GAVE YOU 1 STAR 🌟 CAUSE THE BURGER WAS OK. EVERYTHING ELSE IS BULLSHIT!! I WILL NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!!!

$30 for 2 wagyu burgers that came with no fries and no drink. Single patty burger with a slice of Gouda cheese, a slice of tomato, onions and sauce. That’s all that came on the burger. The buns looked like they were pulled from under a heavy box. No redeeming qualities if they think this is serviceable.

My kids wanted to try the burgers from Howdy. They both said they were great and finished every bite.

Why? I would rather you tell me you are out of lettuce than to give me old food. Disgusting .

The burger was decent, but nothing special. The real issue was the service, unreasonably hostile. The guy behind the counter practically tossed my burger at me, and I had to catch it before it slid off the tray. Not exactly the experience I was hoping for.

Delicious! I ordered a vegan burger and not only did it taste almost exactly like the real thing, they also made sure all the food stayed separate so there was no cross contamination

Howdy Burger is at MotherRoad Market, and the market is great! Howdy Burger's burgers were good, but the service, especially the guy taking order tonight, had a crappy attitude when I walked up. He went as far as to yell at customers some time later, trying to order telling them they weren't taking orders right now because they were short staffed. He certainly could have walked to the counter and explained it could be a longer wait without yelling to them.

Foods great service is horrible

The people are great! Only have less stars because we were given raw hamburger.

After visiting Mother Road Market, Howdy Burger became a local favorite. I had to give it a try! Even though my order, The Original Howdy Burger and their Rodeo Fries, took quite a while to come out. The meal was pretty good! Smash burgers typically aren't very filling, but their double smash burger patties with all their fixings, lettuce, tomato, double cheese, and Rodeo sauce are quite satisfying! If you order the rodeo fries, use a fork to avoid using a million napkins; the fries create a mess.
