We were really excited to try [Restaurant Name] for our second anniversary, especially since it’s a lesbian-owned establishment and we love supporting LGBTQ+ businesses. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing.

First, the food was lackluster. The portions were small, the pasta was overcooked (not al dente), and the rigatoni had almost no sauce or seasoning—it was supposed to be spicy, but it had zero flavor. It honestly tasted like plain boxed pasta. Given the price point, we expected much better quality.

Service was equally frustrating. Our server was also the bartender, but they were barely present at our table. We had to remind them about our drinks, which is especially absurd considering they were the one making them. We ordered Topo Chico instead of alcohol, and they completely forgot to bring them during dinner, yet had plenty of time to make drinks for other tables.

To top it all off, we noticed that another table received portions nearly double the size of ours for the same dish. That was a major letdown, especially considering we had made a special reservation for our anniversary.

Overall, this was not the experience we hoped for. We wanted to love this place, but between the poor service and lackluster food, we won’t be back. Hopefully, they can take feedback seriously and improve.

I loved my experience at il seme. I was in town visiting a customer and was staying very close by at The Mayo. I went in right when they opened and bellied up to the bar where I was taken care of by the wonderful staff. I ordered multiple things to eat a bite or 2 and took the leftovers. Every single thing was amazing. The ragu was so delicious and the homeade pasta and gnocchi....superb. No complaints, not one! Can't wait to get to Tulsa again to eat at il seme!!

Very unique little place tucked away downtown. The deep-fried olives were amazing and I was pleasantly surprised with a one day special of meatballs and spaghetti.

The drinks were delicious (I had a negroni, and there was a rotating wine discount with seasonal offerings).

Get the arancini and fried olives if there's still there. It's really lovely,
The tonnarelli all'inchiostro di pulpo was really top-notch.

It's great to see a solid Italian restaurant in that row of 5th Street eateries. It offers so much to downtown Tulsa.

Don't change!

My husband and I are big fans of Farm Bar and had been meaning to try il seme for awhile and now I am kicking myself we didn't come sooner! Their farm to table Italian concept is divine. The handmade pasta, bread, and local ingredients made every dish explode. We don't have many of these hidden gems in Tulsa so I can't wait to come back to try more dishes. We had the focaccia bread, fried olives, chard salad (amazing), squid ink pasta with crab, and the brown butter sage pasta with local pecans and stuffed with winter squash. They also have a great N/A menu!

I will not return. The atmosphere is cozy and the antiques are fun to see sparkled around the restaurant. Staff are super friendly and kind BUT super busy making service very slow. The squash mock tail was filled with flavor, leaving a lasting impression with every sip. I recommend the drink. The Food… not impressed, I ordered the pasta with smoked mussels, it was underwhelming and definitely not worth the high price point for pasta. The pasta was overcooked and not al dente. The mussels and capers flavors were overtaken by the tomato sauce and garlic. I did not experience anything special in technique or flavors. I will not return, the price point does not meet quality. They make it seem it’s a fine dinning experience but fall short on the authenticity of Italian pasta (I have been to Italy and know true Italian cuisine from the north and south)

The food, the drinks, and the staff are exceptional! Jordan is fantastic behind the bar and had great suggestions for drinks and apps to try. We are going back for Spghetti Western night this week!

The service was shockingly bad. When I asked the waitress to tell me about the menu she said “Some people order an appetizer and split a main.” That’s it, nothing about the food. My husband tried two different cocktails, they were awful. The food was bland, it needed salt. I would have asked for it but the waitress never came around. Do not recommend.

This place acts like it’s something it’s not. Overpriced dishes that could be made by a 4th grader. Incredibly disappointed in the food and prices, however very good service and drinks were good.

Although the food is excellent, the warm and inviting nature of the staff truly stands out. With smiles abound, everyone helps make the service amazing. My server, Claire, is simply exceptional. Just a beautiful person.

Getting back to the foods, I ordered the Wednesday special, cowboy spaghetti with meatballs and it was delicious. Although I was full, I made sure to bring some tiramisu with me to eat later. I'm so glad I did as it was fantastic.

Overall, between the staff, the setting and the food, it's just a great place to go.
