I have been wanting to check out Islas kitchen for a while now & I’m so glad we checked it out today. Our waiter was so nice and attentive and kept filling our drinks. My husband got the chicken fried steak with eggs and potatoes and I got the chicken fried chicken with loaded mashed potatoes and pimento Mac n cheese we got a large blackened chicken salad to split. My picky daughter got a kids meal with pimento Mac n cheese and grilled cheese and devoured it. We ordered both our boys a chicken nugget kids meal one with fries and the other with pimento Mac n cheese and then we split their sides once we got them so they both could have chicken nuggets fries and Mac n cheese. I also loved the sweet tea there. For all 5 meals plus a large salad and my husband adult beverage it came to $95 so it was very affordable for all of us to eat. I loved the beautifully decorated restaurant at atmosphere as well.

I came back here after having an “OK” experience several weeks ago hoping for a better outcome. I love the look and feel of this place, but am constantly let down by the food. This place has everything it needs to be a very successful restaurant, I feel it just needs kitchen organization and help. This time here we visited for Sunday brunch. My father and I each got the Okie benny. Which was a take on eggs Benedict except with an open face biscuit, sausage patties, and poached eggs topped with gravy and crushed pork rinds. The idea and taste was all there, but they both came out lukewarm/ cool to the touch throughout. I also got the nonalcoholic old-fashioned, which was amazing and couldn’t hardly tell the difference. This was a 10 out of 10. My wife got the blueberry French toast, which was definitely fresh and hot. It came out steaming. This was absolutely amazing and probably the best thing I’ve tried there between the two visits. I would love to come back, but the issues in the kitchen make it hard to.

I went here for the first time after driving down town and seeing it open. I was highly impressed with the interior transformation. It’s like your walking into a southern upscale eating establishment. It has a small bar just past the entry way and seating on the first or second floor. There is also a corner market at the back for grab and go items and coffees called conner’s corner store. My wife and i split the Oklahoma state dinner. This included two chicken fried steaks with sausage gravy, whole fried okra, two biscuits, three cornbread muffins, squash casserole, cheese grits with pulled pork and succotash. Wile most of it was great tasting, i was surprised not all of it was scratch made as the pie was frozen premade and who knows what else. I would expect a restaurant of the look and caliber to have scratch made items. We also had the cabin boys farm house ale which was excellent touch. The dining room is not packed like one might expect and the service is great! There is also nice views out the windows of Drillers stadium across the street. All in all not bad but expected better. I will be coming back shortly for the brunch on weekends.

Just not my favorite southern food. The fish had a coating that I cant explain. I've had cornmeal and flour on my plate but this was different, and wouldn't eat again. Drinks was amazing. But my sisters and I will visit again for sure. Collard greens need more flavor.

The biscuits are easily some of the best that I've had in town. Laid back atmosphere with delicious food and a cute market ?.

If you’re looking for the ultimate brunch spot in Downtown Tulsa, look no further than Isla’s Kitchen! I went with a group of friends on a Saturday morning, and it was everything we could’ve asked for—delicious food, cozy vibes, and friendly service.

The menu has all the southern-style comfort food you could dream of:
? Fluffy biscuits that taste like they came straight out of Grandma’s kitchen.
? Cajun seafood eggs benedict that blew my mind.
? Hush puppies that were crisp, golden, and absolutely delicious.
? And the beignets? Pure perfection—light, sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal.

If you’re in Tulsa, do yourself a favor and check out Isla’s Kitchen! Whether you’re catching up with friends or just treating yourself, it’s the perfect spot for a soulful, satisfying meal. Highly recommend!

Horrible, the only way I could describe it was hotel food. The chicken I got almost looked like a big piece of fish. The meals were... alright, I suppose. My main concerns are the service, me, and my family ordered 3 entrees, drinks, and appetizers. I don't exactly remember what appetizers we ordered, but I remember my drink and entree. To drink, I ordered the pink lemonade, no big deal. Except for the fact it tasted like someone had juiced a lemon directly into my lungs! That was the most sour drink I had ever had, and I love sour foods and drinks. For the entree I had a classic, Fried chicken and fries. For being "soul" food, this meal made me wanna sell my soul for some better food. It truly was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had.
TLDR:
Food's pricey to buy, cheap to make, staff treat you like peasents, and the drink staff need to learn portion control.
Never going back,
1/10

Order online
The jambalaya was old the chick sausage and shrimp were cold even though the rice was hot. The chicken was very dry. Also didn’t give me my full order missing the blueberry cobbler.

I don’t truly know if Oklahoma has a specific style of food but if it did this place serves it!!

Parking: Parking can be rough, especially in busy time/when baseball games are being played.

Had the Creole Parmesan Pasta w/ Blackened Chicken and it was great. Girlfriend had the Cajun Seafood Pasta and it was the first time in my life I was advised food wasn't shareable with a clink of silverware. We made amends, and agreed to split the Banana Foster Bread Pudding which was just out of this world good. Great staff, great food, really nice environment for a meal with friends or family.
