The coneys just don‘t taste like normal Coney Islander coneys. The buns are way more doughy and taste slightly like freezer burn. The chili tastes like it’s missing something. The onions are cut up in large chunks instead of finely diced. If they could get their coneys together, this place would be absolutely perfect. The vibe is immaculate. The food is great - coneys, kraut, frito chili pie, and all very reasonably priced. I love the secret recipe chili, but i especially love that the chili isn't full of cinnamon like many coney places.
The service was awesome - super friendly employees gave fast and cheerful service.

For Coney Island these people get it right! They keep the wait time short. There’s indoor and outdoor seating or you can get it to go. Chili is great and the dogs are tasty and not overcooked like some other Coney Islands. Service was friendly and helpful. Super reasonable pricing for a downtown eatery.
