We were underwhelmed in every regard with JINYA Ramen. Our appetizer, the spicy tempura shrimp was just bad—once frozen shrimp slathered mayonnaise and soggy breading. It was unpleasant, and I really have to wonder the last time the owners tasted it. The ramen was okay, and about typical of Tulsa Ramen. Noodles were good and well cooked, but the broth didn’t have much depth or umami. We also had the chicken chashu bowl. It had zero sauce and zero flavor. It felt like...
Five stars across the board - wonderful atmosphere and delectable food. But, it was our server, Cameron, who absolutely sold the experience for us. There aren’t many servers like him left these days, and I sincerely hope that his management recognizes his work and care for his guests.
We had the pleasure of being served by Trevor this evening, to say the experience was awesome would be an understatement!
