GREAT!!! Loved everything about the place, glad ChatGPT recommended this place as a top-rated local restaurant. Had the Brazilian Cod Stew and Sweet Carrot Soup to start things off. The bread and butter tasted fantastic with it. For entree we had the Gnocchi and Roasted Cauliflower. Both were truly excellent. For dessert we had Apple Crisp with vegan ice cream. Appreciate all the gluten-free and vegan options.Vegetarian options: Excellent, well-marked options.

Juniper - Special Dinner - Downtown Tulsa, OK Final Score: 69/100 Preview: The first two courses promise a great tasting with the final three courses unable to fulfill that promise. Intro: April brings us to Juniper, a culinary venture by Justin Thompson, aiming to exceed expectations. Chef Jared Price helms the kitchen. Tulsa's culinary scene has seen collaborations with local and national wineries, fostering creativity beyond regular menus. With anticipation, let's dine! Atmosphere: Juniper's exterior is contemporary, though seating arrangements can feel cramped, with a divided upper and lower section. The ambiance is welcoming, but the layout lacks optimal aesthetic appeal. Service: Engaging Sommelier Stuart welcomed with an Aperol Spritz, and Executive Chef Myles McClanahan greeted diners. Servers Liv and Jenny provided attentive service, describing each dish with enthusiasm. Food: Smoked Citrus Salmon: A refreshing start, with smokey salmon complemented by tangy radish, pickled beets, and creamy aioli. Asparagus Salad: Vibrant and light, with crisp asparagus, tangy vinaigrette, and refreshing mint and basil. -Octopus: Aesthetically pleasing but lacking flavor, with the dominating romesco overpowering the delicate octopus. Hanger Steak: Well-charred steak with flavorful chimichurri, though some inconsistency in cooking temperatures noted. -Strawberry Panna Cotta: Lacking vibrancy and flavor, with gelatinous texture and separation issues with the berry sauce. Overall: The dinner started strong, with the first two courses showcasing creativity and freshness. However, subsequent courses failed to maintain the initial excitement, with issues in flavor and execution. Juniper's upcoming dinner promises renewed creativity, offering hope for a more consistent culinary experience.

Drinks were good. Apps were good but the scallops were a bit gritty. Pork entree was good. Halibut curry was ok (fish good/sauce not). Two of us had the trout. Meh... bland and the gnocchi didn't help. Service was very slow and uneven... our server even had someone else take our order. Nice that they brought out a piece of cheesecake for my wife's birthday even though we passed on dessert. Our first meal at Juniper was amazing. This was our second visit... we were SO excited and brought family... was not a good night at all unfortunately.

We had a wonderful experience at Juniper. Could not have asked for better food or experience. Very accommodating. The Chilean Seabass was one of the best entrees I have had in a long time.

Just incredible!! Beautiful, inviting decor. The service was spot on and the dishes lived up to expectation and then some. If there's a better beef stroganoff, I haven't had it. The scallops and pork belly are a must try and the chocolate pie is dessert heaven. Thanks for an amazing date night!

This is one of my favorite places to dine when we're in Tulsa. They have the best Old Fashion and we enjoy their cheese plate and soup is always seasonal and delicious. Very friendly people work here who go out of their way to make us feel welcome. The ambience is beautiful with antique details that make this place feel so authentic and unique.

Our favorite dish was the scallops and pork belly! Burrata and whipped goat cheese starters were also great! Beet salad was very good. For entrees we tried the osso buco, roasted duck, cauliflower steak, and beef stroganoff - all were wonderful and would order again! Chocolate pie dessert was delicious as well! You can't go wrong at Juniper! Enjoy! ?

Beef stroganoff, trout and osso buco were all great. Friend ordered scallop / pork belly appetizer, really enjoyed. Shared chocolate pie was rich & delicious. Waitress very attentive & friendly.

The service was impeccable! The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and spot on! Worked very hard and let us know how soon we could be seated since we had a reservation and gave us a complimentary glass of champagne while we waited. And, we really didn't have to wait that long.

Wonderful service and good food. Def recommend making a reso as we saw plenty of folks waiting for a table on our way out on a Saturday night. First time getting a tasting menu where they let you order just a one set rather than everyone at the table getting it which we appreciated. A friend and I got one Valentine's tasting menu and a few items a la carte. Things that were pretty good: pork belly & scallop; burrata; trout Things that were just OK: cauliflower steak; grilled tenderloin; risotto side dish; chocolate pie Overall a great date night spot with your partner or friend. Value is definitely there coming from California and Arizona where it would be priced much higher.

Juniper was such a great place to go for Valentine's Day. Their hand selected menus was delicious. Felt so included that they had already curated mocktails and non alcoholic beverages on their menu. This made my boyfriend and I so excited as we were able to enjoy that adult beverage feeling with out the taste of alcohol. Witch we don't like to partake in.
