They have some “gut bustin’ burgers”When you walk in you better grab any table that is open, even if it hasn’t been cleaned yet. If you don’t’ someone else will. The nice ladies working there will get it cleaned up as soon as they can. We were in the Knotty Pig at 2 PM and it was still packed. If you are touring Route 66 you really need to try this BBQ/Hamburger Dive. It is only a half a mile south of Rout 66. It is easy to find and the food experience is worth the detour! As a precaution, you may want to check with your cardiologist before selecting the burger you eat! They have some kind of secret magic going on with their battering process for their onion rings and fried jalapenos. I have not had any this good anywhere. These were unbelievably delicious! The menu says they only use “100% heart healthy lard” for their fried foods. That’s probably the other reason their onion rings and jalapenos taste so good! I’m guessing here, but I have to assume”100% heart healthy lard” only means that the hog the lard came from had a healthy heart. We had the regular cheese burger and the chili cheese burger. The regular cheese burger came with all the usual condiments on the side and fries. It was a great burger and a pile of fresh fried potatoes. The chili cheese burger was a plate of food. Good burger patty and good chili. The chili had nice spice, but was mild on the heat. I knew I couldn’t eat it all and the jalapeno onion rings too. So, I intentionally quit half way through the burger, because I wanted to focus on the onion rings and jalapenos! I couldn’t finish those either.Very nice waitresses. I asked her about the name “Knotty Pig” in relation to the old Knotty Pine Barbeque restaurant that was in Sand Springs eons ago. She confirmed that many of the recipes from the old Knotty Pine were indeed in use there. She brought us a sample of the BBQ sauce that was made from the recipe of the old Knotty Pine. She also gave us a small sample to take home.Great BBQ/Burger Dive!Originally posted on Yelp by me Spike Speedwell

My daughter took my wife and I there. I was surprised. The place did not look like a gourmet place, but the food was amazing.Parking: The food was very good so I was not surprised that the parking lot was almost full.Kid-friendliness: There were a lot of families there.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.

I love this place. Old time dinner environment with booths and tables. Fantastic food. Clearly, everything is home made. Going back today Sowa CE. I am just visiting and want to get a second chance to enjoy their great food and homemade BBQ sauce.

Great jalapeno burger. Great pickles. Great people. I just wish the fries were crispy. [UPDATE] They kindly replied to my review and said they can make them crispy on request--just ask!

First time here, gave the Knotty Melt a try, with a side of fries. Delicious and grilled to perfection! Can't wait to go again and try more of their food! Workers were friendly and very attentive asking if I needed anything (drink refill, etc.)5 ? stars across the board, you owe it to yourself to try this place out, whether you dine in, take-out or use their drive-thru

2/14/24 we went there for lunch, they got really busy in no time during lunch hour. Still got fast and good service. Hamburger was large portion and vrey reasonabley priced. They have a onions, tomato's, lettuce and pickles bar so you can top up your sandwiches to your liking. Definitely will be back again to try different things on the menu.

Stopped in here after attending the Tulsa Vintage Show. It was our first time eating here. Only found this place by searching nearby restaurants on the map. We would have never known it was there. This place smelled ao good just walking in. There are alot of choices on the menu. I ordered the Drunken Chipmunk. It is a bacon cheeseburger with Reeses peanut butter and a blackberry jalapeno glaze on it. As weird as it sounds, it was actually delicious. As my side, I got the tater tots. The tater tots are fantastic. Super crispy with seasoning. My fiance got the VanHelsing. That is a cheeseburger with an insane amount of chopped garlic (dont think it was fresh garlic). He said that one was good, but he will choose something else next time. He got fries with his, but ate more of my tater tots. My son got the kids cheeseburger. Just a basic burger. His was good. His came with a small thing of their pudding which apparently everyone loves, but we were not a fan of it. Something weird about it. At the back of the restaurant there is a station where they keep all of the toppings (onions, pickles, tomatoes, etc) that you can help yourself to. Heads up...they dont have lemonade. Oh, also if you pay cash there is an 8% discount. We did not know that ahead of time.So....long story short....It was really good and we will go back. There service was good too. Super nice people.
