It was just okay. I wouldn't go back even if they gave me a free meal. It wasn't bad, it wasn't good. It took a while to get our food. With all things considered, the parking the location it just isn't worth going to in my opinion.

I now come here EVERYTIME, I come through Tulsa. This is true New Mexican food from a turn of the 19/20th century origin. And on a truely amazing fine dining level.
First of all, any diner visiting here must clear their mind of how modern day Mexican/American food has been mutated in the 21st century. As a Historical Chef, I absolutely LOVE their Menu.
Place your mind set on the fact that the New Mexican food here is exactly as New Mexican food was served in the 1950's. That means, there is no tomatoes in the Salsa, (that was altered to include tomatoes in the 1970s). It is done totally with chilies and onions with spices. The Queso, is NOT made from cheddar and jack cheese that has been watered down with cream. It's the real queso cheese and chilies. The Black bean soup with jalapeños is mind blowing, as well as the Chili Relleno's, enchiladas, and Carnie Adobada. Even the Blood Orange Marguritas were mind blowing
EVERYTHING here was so authentic Santa Fe food, without any influence from California or Texas style Mexican food.
Having grown up in New Mexico, the food here is SO MUCH BETTER then Sadie's, El Pinto, or any other real New Mexican restaurants in New Mexico. I ALWAYS NEED TO COME BACK HERE!!!

This is a picture of staff. Having a great time before 10 P.M, with the doors locked, and the public, not being able to come in.
The listing in google says that the restaurant is open until 1030. It’s fine if you want to close the restaurant early, but display it on Google, so that customers want to come eat can do so, and rely on the information that they’ve been given that the restaurant is open.

Was really disappointed after eating here. The food wasn’t too bad but the service was awful. We were told we had to sit outside because the inside seating was “full”, when they had maybe one table sat that we could visibly see inside. We were all but ignored for the majority of our meal. Water glasses empty the entire time, and I think she came to refill maybe once 15 minutes after we had finished our meals. And then to charge a $15 gratuity each for a table of 6 with bad service was ridiculous. Won’t be back.

Update: lowered the rating from two years ago. $200 for Mexican food that is delicious but the service is literally the worst service you can find.
And it seems they do not care. We have been here 4 times and the food is fantastic. The down side is the service is awful. All 4 times it's been terrible. I wish they would fix this issue because the food is amazing.

We came here for our 20 year anniversary and the food was so good! The salsa was bit spicy but when mixed with guacamole, it was perfect! I had the fish tacos, they were ok but I preferred to just eat the trout by itself. My husband got the deluxe combination plate and it was so good. A bit spicy for him but just right for me! We will return to try some of the other menu items.

We came in at the end of rush hour for dinner, seated promptly and was given amazing service by Mekayla! The tamales were a favorite of mine, as well as the sotol sour! I don’t see many sotol drinks that often, so when I do.. I have to order it. We were gifted by the team, a complimentary order of churro balls. They were heavenly. Will definitely be back!!
Who knew Tulsa would hide such an exceptional New Mexican food gem!!!
The mezcal collection is better than 99% of the bars in OKC, DFW or HOU. The service is on point.
The tostadas from appetizers are flavorful and filled with spicy tastes. The carnitas fall off the fork. The enchilada sauces are distinctive. The red tastes different from the green. I'm glad I ordered the mixed version.
Definitely a place to come back. Again and again.
What a wonderful dinner we had at La Tertulia for our family reunion in Tulsa! Coming from all over the US, including those of us from Texas who have high standards for Mexican food, La Tertulia exceeded them. The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors and incredibly generous portions. The service was also excellent, making our big group feel right at home. And if you're feeling adventurous, ask them to whip up a margarita with mezcal (if that's your thing) – they made me something special that was amazing!
Genuinely surprised at how delicious this food was - not that I was doubtful or expecting mediocre, but it’s been about 8 months since I was in NM to get authentic Mexican to compare. This was SO tasty. I got the tamale plate and was very pleased - the textures and flavors are authentic, no doubt. The spicy margarita could have been spicier, but it’s understandable to accommodate a wider audience. The combo is SO much food. If you’re looking for a change up from your normal Mexican food routine, this is a really great option.

It was good
Amazing food and drinks. I highly recommend this place. Yes, the salsa is spicy, if you cant handle it then don't go. We enjoyed it ao much.
The vegan pozole was better than I'd hoped! The quality didn't falter with it being vegan or my order being to go either. Outdoor, indoor, and bar seating are available. Their house salsa is unique in the best way!
I simply want to encourage people to give this a shot. It's my default recommendation when people say "Where should we go."
Simple, well executed, well priced...
Oh and the salsa is great!

Excellent decor & vibe, decent food, but would recommend adding clarity on veggie options to the menu. Ordered the huevos rancheros because the menu indicated there was no meat, which was misleading.
