Don’t recommend coming here, bricktown comedy club is better and the staff there is amazing!!

Last Saturday was our second trip to The Looney Bin in Tulsa. Once again, we had a great time! We went to go see Trae Crowder both times. The MC was good, and the opening act was hilarious! Will go again for sure!

This is exactly what a comedy club should be—intimate, perfectly sized, and packed with nonstop laughter from both local standouts and nationally recognized comics. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and full of energy. The layout is smart: whether you’re front and center in the comic’s line of fire or seated further back with some room to stretch out, every seat in the house offers a great view and an immersive experience.

Beyond the comedy—which is genuinely top-tier—the food is surprisingly good. You’re not just getting bar snacks here; the menu delivers quality meals that arrive hot and fast. I was impressed that the kitchen kept pace even during a full house. And let’s talk about the drinks—well-priced, well-poured, and consistently delivered within six minutes. That’s nearly unheard of at most venues, and it speaks to how dialed in the staff is.

Speaking of the staff, they’re a highlight in their own right. Friendly, attentive, and a true reflection of the city's charm, they make you feel like a regular—even if it’s your first time. If you’re looking for a great night out with big laughs, good eats, and zero stress, this spot delivers all the way.

We use to attend shows here all the time and enjoyed the shows. We went back this weekend and while we enjoyed April Macie - she was great, and the opener was good the second guy was awful.

Be aware that:
1. 2 item purchase required - not really a big deal as we usually have a few drinks per person - I would order food but I can not eat anything on the menu due to allergies.

2. Ordered a Titos - which I am aware is not cheap anywhere. They are usually $8-10 bucks. The bartender said a double was $3.00 more - which was actually $4.00 more not a big deal. $12 for double titos is pretty normal - thats what we pay at Hard Rock. However for each drink you are also charged $3.00 per mixer - club soda - diet coke - cranberry whatever. $3.00 additional for each mixer in your drink? A double titos with a club soda and splash of cranberry was as much as their pitcher drink!! The drinks are higher than drinking at the BOK during a concert or at the casino. I asked when they started charging for a mixer and she said when the system was upgraded.

3. They automatically add 18% per check, but when they run your card they hand you the machine on the tip screen. I wonder how many people miss that they already added the tip and then add an additional 20% unknowingly?

Just my thoughts but will be choosing other comedy clubs to try out now as this was pretty disappointing.
