Had another great night at the LowDown attending the 2nd show of the new Tulsa based band, The Holdout's. Awesome performance by the 7 piece band made up of some of the best and seasoned Musicians/Vocalists in Tulsa, playing a mix of original and covers in multiple genres with creative and unique arrangements. Been coming to hear great music and musicians for a couple of years. Sound and ambiance are both great. However, as someone who has worked in the restaurant business as a server and bar-back, I think the beverage game needs work. I get that you are trying to create the speakeasy scene, but adding bitters to every cocktail is not what everybody wants. We've been many times and can tell you that Lowdown books some incredible artists and bands. The atmosphere is cozy and very cool as it's located in the basement of an old revitalized building in Arts District in downtown Tulsa. Every seat has a great view of the stage and the sound is awesome. Don't expect much from the table or bar service, though. Most of the staff seem bothered to serve and unhappy to be there.
