We went to McGill's for our 55th anniversary dinner. The food was delicious and the timing of the service was perfect. Our waiter Refugio was one of the best waiters we have ever had. He was so pleasant and he paced our meal service perfectly. He remembered and delivered on a couple of variations that we requested. He kept our water and tea glasses filled and we never even noticed when he quietly walked up to refill the glasses. He was terrific! They also served us a dessert for our anniversary. It was so sweet of them. There were a group of men there with a group of young girls. The young girls were a bit noisy. I am glad that fathers were out with their daughters but I wish they had kept the girls at their table instead of the girls running around the restaurant. It was no fault of the restaurant, just bad timing for us. Overall it was a pleasant evening with great service and good food.

We had an early dinner so it was very quiet. Larry was our waiter who met us at the door and led us to our booth. I do believe Larry is the best restaurant waiter in all of Tulsa! His pace was perfect as was the meal. He knew just when to approach the table to see if everything was OK and when to approach to ask about another drink. It couldn't have been a better experience!

The hostess was very pleasant. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable without being overly present. The food was delicious!

Food and service was excellent. Atmosphere was quiet and invites great conversation among your group.

We booked McGill's for my wife's birthday and everything was perfect. The halibut daily special and the lobster pasta, an old standard, was delicious. Cannot recommend this place more enthusiastically.

I had high hopes for this place and chose it over the suggestion of Salt Grass by one in our party who is local.
Unfortunately, this place was a hard let down.
First the good:
Our server was amazing! He was attentive, knowledgeable, and very friendly. We never went without refills, he was understanding of our group interactions and respected those with regards to taking our orders etc.
The atmosphere is nice, and felt clean and inviting.
The bad:
The food is a disaster. For starters we had a French onion soup that looked like the grill tip had been scraped into a bowl and hot water poured over it. Our wedge salads were disgusting. The dressing was straight cream, the salad consisted of the wedge with the base still attached, 4 small cherry tomatoes, and literally 4 crumbles of bacon. The filet mignon while cooked to order, wasnt trimmed properly and did not look like anything worthy of a $50 price tag. The steak Gerard had a saving grace in the mustard sauce, but the steak was extremely chewy at medium rare and again, not at the quality expected for $50. Lastly the chocolate bunt was dry, and the chocolate sauce used tasted like it was from a Hershey’s squirt bottle.

My advice (I hate to say this), save your money and eat at a roadhouse chain for better quality food, or for the same kind of atmosphere and price tag in Tulsa, but much higher quality food go to a Salt Grass.

First the bartender took forever to wait on me after serving others (men) first… that’s fine I was waiting but noticed …ordered filet minion and side shrimp. Never really checked on after receiving my meal and service was simply not good …I’ve eat here before and bartender was lovely, this one not so much ….politely asked to share with the manager and was explained that they had just changed meat providers and was offered a complimentary filet mignon at next visit which is what I ordered as well as I added shrimp but my issue was the steak so no problem. I simply put it in my wallet only to come back a little over 30 days later to dine and notice it had expired. I was shocked to see the expiration but luckily noticed prior to ordering and asked if they would still honor it … NO was the answer !! Wow …I definitely don’t run my business this way and I won’t care to be back. It’s a shame as I really enjoyed dining here now and then when I would go out but I will now find somewhere else that appreciates their customers. This may be the first bad review I’ve left as most of mine are super reviews and just blow off a bad experience but wow …there is truly a spirit of indifference here so no thank you !!

I've loved the 61st and Yale location for years. It's always been the location that is constantly good. I highly recommend the French Onion soup and the ribeye. I definitely do NOT recommend the bread pudding. It's a travesty, I ordered it once and was shocked at how bad it was.
