This was the most unfriendly and unwelcoming environment upon walking in. Employees were hanging out, eating lunch and ignoring me to the point where I thought they were also customers. My latte and cappuccino were very bad, on top of that. The store has a lot of things to look at, as the only positive.

I genuinely wanted to support a local coffee shop over larger chains like Starbucks or Scooters, but unfortunately, my experiences here have been disappointing. Despite giving this place multiple chances, I’ve consistently encountered unfriendly service, making it feel as though my presence was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. The coffee itself is underwhelming—nothing that stands out or justifies returning. Given the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I can’t help but wonder if they’re from friends and family rather than actual customers. I truly hoped to make this my go-to spot, but the lack of welcoming service and subpar coffee make that difficult.
Good coffee selection, they have whole beans and they will grind em for you! ? Good pricing. The ladies that run it are lovely and very helpful. Also, they have a nice oil selection, kitchenware accessories and wonderful gift options for any occasion! 10/10 recommend!

I was deeply insulted and thoroughly embarassed for my friend that I came into Mecca Coffee with this afternoon.
I had been helping a friend move some furniture and due to a misunderstanding of the bus schedule, I found myseld stranded at 41st and Peoria, the midway point for my return trip home.
I called my friend who had been lounging in her bath robe, enjoying the coolness of the afternoon. Being a good and loyal friend, she quickly threw some clothes on and promptly arrived to give me a ride home.
As I sat down in her car, she asked "Do you mind if we stop real quick at Mecca Coffee?"
"No, not at all, what is it?" I asked.
She exclaimed "OH MY GOD, IT'S COOL, YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE!" She continued telling me many of the things she loved about the place as we cross the street.
We walk in and were immediately directed to the discount aisle in such a manner as to imply that we couldn't afford to even be shopping there. Yeah, there were some cool items but nothing that could outshine the high mindedness and judgement that we experienced.
I was deeply insulted and humiliated as it was done loud enough for everyone else to hear. Then the way we kept being asked if we were ready to check out or if we were finding everything okay and making it perfectly clear that we really were not wanted there; only added to the immense embarassment that I felt for my friend.
She was so excited to introduce me to your business. She had fervently shared all of the great things I was going to experience as I entered your store only to have you shame her in such a disrespectful way.
You may think you are high minded but in reality you are nothing more than a generic, second hand, regurgitated flea market. Actually, you are much lower than that. Flea Market merchanants appreciate their customers. In every measure where it really counts, you greatly pale in comparison. Exceptionally so in class and customer service.
Took a quick trip to Tulsa this weekend. Wanted some coffee so my wife and I decided to try Mecca Coffee Company. Great little cafe with a bevy of ground coffee choices as well as a full service hand made coffee bar. The owner made our Lattes and they were great! Also very budget friendly. E loved it. There’s also a cooking store with all sorts of goodies. Will definitely be back

Great local coffee shop in Tulsa for over a hundred years! Friendly staff and knowledgeable of products. Large selection of oils, vinegars, kitchen accessories, home decor and clothing in addition to coffee and spices.

Snobby. Not helpful at all and don’t acknowledge their customers if they don’t look like the right type of people to shop there. It sucks because I like supporting local businesses and these people couldn’t even give me the time of day to ask if I needed help finding anything. Stood at the area for herbs and seasonings waiting to be helped and they weren’t even busy.

Great selection, but AWFUL customer service. The ladies who work here seem to be very unfriendly and unhelpful. There’s a difference between being available and willing to help and hovering. It was almost as if I was being followed and then rushed out of the store. I saw two other customers wait at the register for approximately 10 minutes while the workers ignored them in favor of taking down Christmas decor. They eventually gave up and left their purchase on the counter.I purchased two pounds of coffee for a gift, had it not already been ground, I would’ve left as well. Also, not for nothing, this establishment refused to take masking precautions seriously at the peak of the pandemic, leading to at least three visits from the city heath department. If you’re looking for good coffee or olive oil, Whole Foods is across the street.

I shopped here and was a member of their loyalty program for years but staff has become so surly and rude that I'll just be buying from another local roaster from now on. Customers are not inconveniencing you by purchasing your product.

My favorite place ever. I will shout from the rooftops how much I love Mecca. Born and raised in Tulsa but now live in Dallas and I will stop here every time I’m in town to stock back up on my olive oils, coffe, and spices. And every now and then balsamic vinegars too. Staff is always so helpful and extremely nice!! They’ve even offered to ship if I can’t make it into town, but I try to shop in person because I just love the store so much. Their white pepper is my favorite ? very nice selection of candles as well.

Had a friend’s cup of coffee that was from Mecca. Colombia Light. Delicious, so I bought a pound of beans for myself. They always have gourmet items, tea and gifts.

What a wonderful gem of a shop! We came in for loose tea and were surprised all of the flavored vinegars and olive oils, spices and gift items in the shop.I read a few reviews about rude or dismissive employees, and I found my experience to be completely the opposite of that. The woman that helped us was personable and knowledgeable. She suggested a variety of samples of both vinegars and olive oils for both cooking and condiments.I left with more than just tea and no regrets over the additional purchases. We will definately be back for both gourmet Christmas gifts for friends and family and for our own tea and coffee pots!

Rude staff and have screwed up my coffee bean order too many times. And they are racist. Never going back.
